攀登 in Centennial Glen

Really burly, but fun after the heinous start

Fun climb, had to work the top section to get the send.

Flash pumped doing this as my warmup and going hard for the flash, ended up almost ruining my session, but deffinitly feels doable if I warm up properly first

First 24, deffinitly soft but decent moves till you get to that first big jug

Fell more times than I should have coz I'm an idiot but we got there in the end

Tried once in 2014 and couldn’t hold the holds on that terribly wet day. I did downclimb it to preserve the flash, and I’m glad I managed to 9.5 years later!

It was a bit anticlimactic, was expecting to dyno off terrible holds, but I managed to lock off (the holds were way better than I remembered) and it went very easily.

Hadn’t touched JH in years so first lap was a warm up/ brushing and beta lap with a few sits. Spent some time trying to figure out resting beta. No falls figuring out the moves.

Second lap went very smoothly! No dyno for me, as much as I love a good dyno, I was happy crimping the life out of that side pull. Sent with plenty left in the tank!

A worthy extension and addition Lucky/Toby, RIP mate.

Fell off the jug at the top on 2nd attempt . Didn't have enough juice for the 7th run at the end of the day. Need to come back when fresh.

Never mind the huge move in the middle, but the first few moves are so reachyyy. Might need to come back to it when I can reach harder T.T

It's getting close. Hard finish!

Dropped the flash at the last bolt. Pumped after spending ten minutes faffing about on the slab.

Was mentally prepared to fight till the death at the crux but all the beta improvements & little rests paid off so well that I casually cruised through it on my 2nd go

What an awesome route though, full value the whole way to the chains 🤩🤩🤩🤩

Finally cleaned up this old dog, still felt much harder than it should after just sending rubber lover

Tried to drop it at the top, fun boulder move into lower quality rock jugging.

beta fluffing, tried right, refined left (to jug, right to pocket with heel on right, right hip in dropknee, left over to jug. Up choss/drainage to clip & go anchors.)
