Ascents in Kangaroo Point as various tick types by Mark Gamble

The crux had me SS til I figured the move. I tried this one first and backed off it - came back after I did the other 10 beside it!

Jumped on this one first after trying #2 and backing off that one. The crux was definitely the easier of these two 10s.

These 2 8s were pretty straight forward.

This one right beside the other, pretty easy going.

I think the slabs & some reachy moves make this one a 12. I found it pretty easy, being 3 stories tall.

Big blocky ledges make this a walk in the park.

One reachy move on an inside corner & it was all over.

This one was the pick of the bunch, very short but sweet climb.

The aréte had some go-ey moves on it for a 10.

On impulse, in the rain, whilst walking back to the car.

Bunch of crap in the far corner.

2nd'd Geoff up this tough mother. I've never succeeded in nailing the crux on this bugger, but one day. The crimpres above are murder on one's fingers

With Craig & Katy. An OK route for the grade.

Pretty straight forward, but well protected crux. Alex from QUT belayed & 2nded.

With Craig & Katy. An almost impossible start for a short person, after that it's a cruise.

With Johan. Very tough going from 2nd BR to 3rd. Basically fell my way up it.

Had to take a lap on this again. Getting the moves down better now. Only 6-7 rests this time.

Spotted this one when we did WDOP recently. Some adrenalin moves here & there with gear in the friable rock.

Quick lap to set-up the top belay.

Brian's first lead. Nice n clean.

Proudie's new routes. This was a joy, with good moves & gear the whole way. A tad over graded, I'd say more like an 8.

With Walter, some trad lessons.

Nice trad lead at KP. One can stitch this route up.

End of day run up this with the gear limited to tricams + ballnuts. A hold snapped off near the top, scared me senseless, but, miraculously, no tumble.

Always up for this delightful trad lead. Gear is good to just below anchors.

Justin belaying. Grade 8 is way over the top. More like a 4-5.

Went for the onsight: a tad optimistic. Nice moves. Good to try a KP route that has solid trad placements. Justin belaying.

An honest 18. A fair few rests, but got there.

Had to have another shot on it. The crux sequence is gold.

Got tangled up at the crux. Took a couple of goes.

Pretty straight forward, nice rock & nice climbing at the grade. Will have to lead it on trad.

Tried to lead it on trad, but ended up clipping the 2nd or 3rd bolt.

Still too thin to lead on trad gear.
