What a great hand jam this is. Not confident enough about my hand jamming to do it on solo tho.

Thought I'd take a closer look at the tight chimney, but not on solo - no thanks, too tight for me.

Took Laila, Torbjorn & Tina up this one today. Great day out on the rock.

I just had to solo this classic line whilst donw at Araps this trip round. That it started raining halfway up didn't exactly help matters, but make it we did.

MY first solo at Araps, and what a classic line this is.

The crux on this one is just too go-ey. I'll come back another day.

With OPG. Bit of a struggle after being away from the rock after so long.

It was very gusty, & I backed off, do it another day. Went for the relative safety of the Eagle Cleft chimney. Another day.

My second onsight solo I think, maybe 3rd after Salmon's Leap at Coonoowrin. Feeling a bit cocky, I just picked what looked like a good line. Got a bit tricky on a slab just below the N.E. Shoulder. A hot day & I baked in the sun.

With OPG. Struggled my way up it again.

With OPG. This was one of the first I managed to get to the top on.

The crux is some nice chimneying & most importantly protectable. would have done it but there was water running thru it so I backed off. Another day.

Now that I have big gear, thought I'd have another go at it - it's still crap & still a ghost! April 2002 I tried this one with Andrew Collins & I rapidly ran out of gear to place & decided to back off it & haven't been back since!

Always wanted to do a moonlight ascent of this mountain and this evening was a perfect full moon. Bit of a chill wind up top despite the summer heat below. Did it in under 2hrs this time.

Took Craig & Amy up this today and a very nice day out, although the start was in doubt as it was raining heavily in Brisbbane.

Whilst the guys were climbing at Thanksgiving Wall, Shot up this, but twisted my ankle on the way down. That gave me some trouble over the next few months.

Had to get my helmet back. Dam! If only my foot hadn't slipped 2cm on that slab.

Pete was up for a nice easy outing - not too smart the day after rain. Worked my way up the slimey 1st pitch, but Pete had to bail when he got there, the knees gave out again. I'll go back & solo it sometime when it's dry.

Wanted to get out & do something nice after the TAFE exams. Checked out some of the surrounding territory as well.

Things have cooled down enough to enjoy a sprint up the mountain.

My first solo - well if one doesn't count the tourist tracks on Tibro (1) & Berrwah (2). What a rush that was - onsighting the route to boot!

After a splendid start to the day on Black Orpheus (10), Troy & were looking forward to jumping onto this 8. Troy led the 1st P which was interesting, but P2 soon deteriorated & I found myself about 6m out on broken rock with no pro and none in sight. I backed off & Troy had a go = no guts & glory this day, we decided it would be better to live & climb another day. No shame in that.

My father took me up this route as a boy, or rather he tried to. I freaked about 10m up and he had to come down and rescue me off the rock. It was only after a couple of tries in 99, that I finally vanquished my demons and made it up on a lovely winter's day.

This was a nice outing, after all the intense study at TAFE. A great release.

God it was nice to get out again after the intensity of the TAFE exams.

Went up this time in the middle of a downpour. Had some difficulty getting to the mountain due to local flooding. Just got across the creek behind Mt. Beerburum. Up & down in 1:20 - not bad going. It wasn't raining at the top!

This was a nice outing.

Wanted to scoot up this one again for the exercise. Got it down to 2.5hrs this time and in the rain=nice and cool.

Had to do another trip up this beautiful irresistable mountain, what a scenic trip it is.

My first ascent upon return to Ozland - 34 years on, what a terrific ascent, bringing back loads of memories. It was awfull hot, I left it too late in the day = note to self re next time.

My first ascent on return to Ozland! Wrong time of day tho, the afternoon sun was a killer. This was unbelievably deja vue for me, recalling the ascent I made with my father 34 years earlier.

my father took my sister & I up this as kids and what an experience it was to look out from the top across the coastal plain. This was the 2nd climb I did after I arrived back in Oz in '98.

With OPG. The crux defeated me.

With Dave & Gabby. Still had to rest at the crux.

With OPG. Had a go, but it's pretty beyond me for now.

With EFC. Still couldn't manage that top out with out a struggle.

Went up this with my Father & my Sister as a 14yr old. This was a pretty big epic day out for me and the mountain the equivalent of Everest.

With OPG. One of the first I ever did. Stuggled at the crux.
