Ascents in Far North as Hang dog

Full value entertainment whip on the direct finish.

Bloody pumpy, and freaky at the start. Struggled to place my first piece, fought to the roof where it seems to be a finger crack. Had a rest, found some good hands and charged to the top. Right before the anchors I struggled on the balancy move with thin gear placed (my fault) and managed to get the top. This was a battle, but it was a ton of fun

attempted to pinkpoint the first 2/3 of the route then placed gear from the traverse to the bolts. one take from pumpiness and one take from not knowing how to protect the roof traverse. thanks to Nic & Sarah for protecting it well

Battled my way up to the roof of this one, super proud of myself for getting past the lower crux. Got pumped out of my mind overgripping and freaking out. Sat on my gear before going up through the roof, much easier than I thought it'd be.

Borderline 25. Really good climbing, maybe not quite as good as Terminal Drive (and a fraction harder), but close, and hey, you are allowed to do both ... Blew the last move on my 2nd shot. Oh, well, means I get to come back and do it again

This route is really, really good - I'm staggered more people haven't tried it. Eventually figured everything out, although took a few goes to actually figure out where the holds were.

Went left at the 4th bolt into AHLBB because we couldn't see any holds at all straight up. Still 26 though, even doing it that way (the move up and left are both hard anyway) ... would love to hear from Gordy if he was able to solve it going straight up from the scoop-of-no-progress just after the 4th bolt.

The hardest 24 at Araps according to HB. Set up a toprope and did the move. Hopefully I get a chance this trip. A great line on awesome rock.

Tough onsite and burly gear placement required through the crux to protect well.

tried to pink-point with Dan's placements, but didn't have the endurance to pull it all together. took some exciting falls, which were my first ones on gear!

hand traverses are my mortal enemy. Ethan did it without, which I should have done, instead i let my ego get in the way again. everything prior to traverse was sick tho

stoked to be on second. still felt hard. bailed from cheap trip onto this and glad (not glad?) we did. the solo to the belay was my first foray into becoming a 'Slammer'. It's a work in progress.

2 belayers, BIG swinging whips and bash-in carrots. Lots of fun. Unfortunately sat after the crux because the route was 60% moss and I was pumped and scared

Wild, bouldery start! Then basically Tarantula, great climb!

Escaping the traverse took some work... but a ripper route!
