Beautiful and classic! What an intro to the pipes. But Em and I only did pitch 1 as it was her 're-introduction' to trad multi-pitch after a long hiatus, and pitch 1 delivered enough adrenalin, after which we were happy to come down, haha... Looking forward to come back to do the top pitch.

Awesome! Lovely jamming getting progressively harder, into deep recessed fists, and an all-consuming thrutch. Came off around the Hejira bolt. worked out some cool techniques i like for the wide crux. at the top its thin again, then wide again. Ass-kicking and glorious. Super fun, but would be so exhausting to link. Stoked with how well I did, keen to project!

Rapped to bottom of 24, elite route!! Some gnarly moves and back to the normal bolting standards after spending time on Bruny lol, most pitches were extremely very badly salty, used a WHOLE bag of chalk just on this route, imagine chalking up every single move because the route basically feels wet. Had to really back myself on the 24 due to the slipperiness but we made it. Flash cause rapped the route. Done in 4 pitches as ticked. Great day out and very hot!!

Repeat. With Nate. Climbed in about 6 or 7 hours as 9 (or maybe 11? We lost count.) pitches at a very casual pace. Still a great scramble with some really cool exposed climbing interspersed with a lot of scrambly bits. Would probably have worked well to simul with 30 m of rope between us, but it was nice to take our time on it.

In december 2017 (over six years ago!!) I down climbed very quickly from about ten metres up this route (read: decked from ten metres with my dad belaying…) and didn’t weight the rope. I am therefore very happy to complete this many year long quest to onsight Harelquin with my brain still in tact. I also used my one helmet token for the year, seemed reasonable.

was confused by the roof, and screwed myself by attempting it on the R, which felt really really hard. i now see this is the hard way. tried direct through the roof a few times too, but couldn't work it out either. seems powerful, might come back more clued in to the beta.
