Ascents in Marseille area having Beta

Easier than Equinoxe.

Took a while at the crux, hard at the grade.

Poorly placed arete.

Early crux then pleasant.

Easy compared with its neighbours.

This climb is super polished and the bolts have been removed. Attempted on top rope but ended up off route and climbed a fun crack on the left near the end.

Definitely overgraded, not the most exciting climb.

The crack at the end is fun!

We had actually planned to do this as a group of three but one of us overslept and got to the crag later. We saw him sitting down on a rock when we reached the belay of pitch 6, which happened to be an abseil point, so we abseiled down to climb something else together with him instead of finishing the climb. I remember liking the route a lot, but I cannot recall many details except for the nice wide crack in the beginning and a funny dihedral in pitch 3, where also the crux was.

Was a very nice route. Polished in places, one hold especially that I thought was vital to use to continue, so fell a few times trying, eventually did it as a second with no problem. Will get it clean next time!

Difficult crux at the third bolt, it tricks you into thinking to go left but there is a much better way to the right. Anchors at top are gone, traverse to adjacent route to the right and continue to finish...

Nice undercling/sidepull.

Down-chimneying is harder than up-chimneying.

Short.

As the book says, depart bloc.

A little more spice up top.

Start gets you thinking.

Quite sustained.

Good bouldery start.

I suspect the first ascent for a very long time!

Bit of a nightmare through the tree.

Worthwhile to get to the better pitches above.

Reasonable long pitch.

A more natural line.

Steep in one bit.

Awesome fun. Some dodgy fixed gear, so beware as well as runout pitches. Some loos rock.
