Super route, especially when you forget your bolt plates at home. First pitch was pumpy at times then technical. Weather was perfect, sun came on us around 1:30pm on the 3rd pitch. 3.5 hours car to car.

Among expletives and imprecations, I found a way to extract myself from the awkward position I took to clip the bolt on top of the lip, dropped a quickdraw, badly found a way to knee-scum to the juglet, and ended up dynoing to what fortunately was indeed a jug. A tuggy blind onsight.

Had a reasonable shot at the flash but gave up when I realized I did not know how to clip the bolt after the lip. I then briefly realized you just don't and there is one just above. Best news of the day is the right knee could handle a little heel-hooking pain-free.

Really nice and consistent, easy on the fingers. Just pleasant climbing

3rd shot, 1st RP go after figuring out lip pull beta. The beta: RF heel hooks pyramid while walking hands up on left sidepull until RH is on a crimp on top, toe LF to back of pyramid to make cut more controlled, cut feet and place RF on big edge on lip, throw RH to sloperjug. Then walk hands up and hold it together until the rest. Really brawny somewhat inelegant crux beta, but it’s the first rock climb I’ve ever sent with an actual toehook, so that’s pretty cool!

2 Laps - just to the last bolt (24 to here) clean, as the last moves were dripping wet. Managed to punch this one out, sans chalk, placing draws, no worries whatsoever. Pretty chuffed with this, given that I haven't steep climbed in the 7 months since my accident. My core and calves felt it the next morning, though! This is my favourite of all the routes on the upper ledge.

2 x Repeat attempts, not clean. Though I cruiiiiiiised the link from above the lower layback crux to the top, for whatever reason, the low-crux kicked my arse today, and felt grades harder than 24. The finale of this puppy is wild!

Could not pull on the 4-6mm crimp to the jug. Never been so humbled by a hold.

Dogged my first try when starting from the 23. Couldn't do the crux move. Then went up the normal start and smashed it

Onsight didn’t go very well, a lot of useless chalk around. One fall at crux with a bad sequence. Sorted the sequence second go then jugs to the top, but not a drop of chalk along the way, had to brush quite a bit of spider webs off. I sent pretty comfortably second go. Much nicer with beta and draws on. No knee bar, oh, but I can get 4 fingers in the first pocket (with a squeeze) Hop on now, the top is chalked! It’s not a sandbag!

Minging on that right crimp is not my idea of a warm up, didn’t use the side pull. Linked into Stereo. Wouldn’t pull on it again, but it’s good that it gives you another way to start these routes.
