Ascents in Victoria by Wendy Eden

Not a miraculous discovery of an obscure classic. The last pitch is quite good though. It's a bit of a stretch of imagination to keep out of siren or Xena in places.

Mass self belay session on riding rest day. Ok crag to build granite slab skills, most routes have enough bolts for sanity as far as slabs go. May be a few more routes squished in then the wall justifies.

Also a contender for worst route at arapiles, but saved by the cool feature of climbing a steep fat crack that opens at the back into a cave beneath the tottering block that is the top of the pitch. It's cool, but also terrifying that the whole block might come down on you.

Possibly the worst route I have done at arapiles, and I have done some really bad routes here. Mossy, terrible rock, tottering boulders, vegetation, broken by ledges. It is nice belaying at the top of Campbell's kingdom though.

Also not terrible, but mossy and damp in a few spots and some gear in shitty rock.

Not terrible but maybe my judgement is skewed by the truly terrible routes I did on the weekend. Bit mossy, loose flake is avoidable. Probably better when it's not damp as well.

Actually quite good, clean and solid rock.

Long, continuous, good rock, lovely position high on the crag, no chance of crowds. What more is there to want in an easy route?

FFA. Actually a fair step up in quality from my last two new routes!
