Ascents in Summersville Lake having Beta

2nd Try. Probably the hardest 5.10 I've ever done, super interesting movement on underclings and slopers, but unfortunately I was about 2 inches too short to use any of the good footholds. Not an easy section of climbing on the route. Got a bit flash pumped, and then went for a swim in the lake after.

beautiful arette. With a 6B boulder for a start and some permapump to fight.

#FA Each crux a little harder than the last, culminating in a heartbreak three finger razor crimp at the bitter end. Felt considerably harder than Superpod, and took a good number of days to sort out in generally great conditions. Quite proud to be the one to climb this legendary project!

Damn. A complete masterpiece. The rumors are true!! Same day as Super Pod. So psyched on the New right now!

Be careful not fall from the early start since the tree is right behind the route. Fun to use the tree though.

Couldn’t get through the smooth face climbing even before the roof. It’s a big move for me to reach a small crimp after my right heel hook was set up and pulled myself up to right.

The bolts are rusted a little bit. While the roof part is really cool, climb over it is not easy since there is only some small jugs up there.

nice climb. but the bolts wander like a motherfucker without a leash.

brutal climb. crimpy fuckers eat your hands alive. the roof is cool then youre all pumped out and have to deal with slopey holds till the finish. has a wide variety.

Not a bad haul for the afternoon. Some really unique movements and holds, fun and physical.

I fell off this climb Jackson Allan. It was a poor choice as a warm up on a cold and cloudy day. But a great route, and since I fell, I got to enjoy it twice.

I mean, this climb is more like a boulder. Still has some awesome moves.

Classic arete, great flow. Zig zags all over the arete, really enjoyable.

Essentially roped highball V4, great fun.

Sensational climb!

Direct start is actually pretty fun, albeit contrived. Happy to send this on second shot at the direct.

3 shots. Felt like someone had poured toothpaste all over it. But a good choice of climb given the torrential downpour. Reasonably good holds all the way for my little fingers, just had to put in more effort!

Sun came out.. Of course! Couldn't see holds for blinding sun. Ironic that as soon as we packed up, clouds came, then mega rain!!!

A bit crimpy at the start for a warm up for my fingers. Otherwise quite good.
