Decent climbing. First pitch was pretty straightforward for the grade, everything else was pretty casual scrambling. So good to get outdoors and top out Tibro. Was pretty hot, but cloud cover and a good wind kept things sane. We simul-climbed from the midway rap anchor of pitch 2 to the top. About an hour on the wall. Descended via caves route to cave 1 then rapped down Zeitgeist.

Linked pitches 1, 2 and maybe part of 3 into a ~50m pitch. Ended up popping up onto the big ledge at the end of P1 of zeitgeist where a large party was waiting to continue up their route. Harry came up and gave the next pitch a go but after pulling off a large rock and the rest of the pitch not looking much better, he decided to down climb back to the belay. We figured that was enough fun for one day and bailed down zeitgeist. Not really sure what we climbed but figured this was close enough.

Would be a 16 at Kangaroo Point, but it's as hard as a typical 17 at Candy Mountain or Andromeda. First multi-pitch. Rapped off pitch 7 instead of scrambling down the tourist track. Vegetation management on the rap was tricky. Scrambly approach into the first pitch may feel uncomfortable to beginners without approach/climbing shoes. Running/tennis shoes may feel a bit slipery for this class 4 scramble, especially if downclimbing it after a rap.

Such a fun route, with really good stances to place nests of gear. Gear Beta (spoiler alert): Take a double rack of nuts/offset nuts with a focus on finger sizes (3x DMM gold-black if possible) and I'd suggest doubles of big hexes (BD silver and Blue). Save a big hex (or equivalent passively placed cam) for the roof. Some cam placements (BD 0.2-#2) to be found but less reliable in the soft rock - single rack cams. 15+ draws and slings

Stick-clipped the 3rd as I didn’t like the look of the fall and wanted to gain some confidence to work the route next time. Lower half is reachy but goes once the holds are found. Top half is easy but very ledgy - not sure if I stayed on route.

Thoroughly enjoyed the part where a three-finger crimp in the crux section decided it no longer wanted to remain attached to the wall, and instead turn into a mono. Somehow managed to hold on, probably because I knew I'd already skipped a couple of bolts by this stage in the name of rope-drag management and a fall would've been disasterous. 8 16 30 Deportiva escalada de primero por Josh Peters Top belaying on the final pitch was utterly serene. Full moon adventure. Started climbing at about 9pm, graced by clear skies & a perfectly positioned full moon to make headtorches not necessary for this incredible experience. Decided we'd try link pitches & send the whole route in only 3 pitches. Would not recommend. Even extending every draw and skipping a bunch, drag was still gnarly. Topped out just before midnight & rapped down caves route. Bit of bush bashing and cane-toad-trodding had us back at the carpark at 1:30am for a weary drive home.
