Great start to the Sunday with Steve who absolutely crushed the crux pitch!

First lead. Not too shabby. Somehow managed to accidentally z clip like crazy under a big rock so got lowered back down a few metres.

Almost pulled the crux on the second shot. A route that demands some strong fingers that's for sure.

Clipping the bolt was a bit sketchy it's just out of reach after a decent run-out.

Tried to send from below but with no luck. Was absolutely wrecked by this point. Another route on Tibro with a extremely complicated description that makes it seem very difficult to get to but it's actually not too bad.

Stitched up twice, once by 18 draws required Marty, second by the 25m length description of p6 which turned into the 19 crux real fast. Linked P2/3, 4/5, 6/7. Bring 5+ slings if linking.

Just checking out the moves, the dyno is fun, gabby went for the static beta which didnt look too hard either.

Climb 30 of 50. A good variety of fun climbing for a grade 13. Unfortunately, this is spoiled by the odd logistics of undertaking this climb. A 50m first pitch, with a dubious natural belay (tiny tree plus a couple of less than great placements), followed by a 20m 2nd pitch that ends with a double bolt belay as advertised, however the anchor bolts are just that - bolts only. No hangers, no chain, no way to rap unless you are prepared to leave a couple of your own bolt plates, plus a sling/prusik, and a bail bina/mallion. Even if you did manage to rap, you're 70m from the ground, so you'd need 2 joined 70m ropes, or be prepared to leave trad gear in the rock somewhere halfway down because it's too far to reach the rap anchors of neighbouring climbs (massive pendulum potential). Perplexing. We opted to traverse left from the pitch 2 bolt belay for about 15m, then rapped off a tree in order to gain the anchors on pitch 2 of Proven Guilty / Assumed Innocent. Another option would have been to have kept climbing upwards, eventually gaining the scrub, and then bush-bashing to the right to the hikers route and descend that. Such a shame. This climb would be much better if it had bolted rap anchors for both pitches. We strung both pitches together, but only because I had an 80m rope.

Perfect day out, car to car in 5hrs which meant Will didn't have to skip his prior commitment of kayaking in the brown snake with Riverlife. Linked pitches 2/3, 4/5, 6/7. Pitches 4/5 needed about 22 draws which was unfortunate given we had a total of 18. Awesome climbing the whole way but needed a lot of slings to reduce drag when linking pitches. Didn't love the unroped scramble up from the top of pitch 8 to caves but otherwise a solid day out.

Slayed the demo first go

An old school sandbag adventure climb that requires more head game and sketchy trad experience than it does muscle. Not for the faint hearted and not for those new to trad. Did pitch 1, 2 and 3.

More flowy and easier to read. Better climbing for head game than the 22. Still shaking cobwebs off.
