Succumbed to the peer pressure and the mounting psyche of what would end up as Alec's first V7 and got on this. High humidity and spooge factor, could barely hold the left crimp let alone dyno off it, which makes Alec's send (and then repeat for the camera) so much more impressive. I think he had 35 goes!

Didn't actually attempt, just belayed Simon - used to be able to log 'phantom' ticks but can't see how to do that anymore

Cleaned half of this and had a bit of an admittedly low commitment go

'Attempt' is being polite. I flailed on this hard. I've given Michael so many catches it was overdue I had a play. The first half is nice and easy but not trivial. Maybe grade 18 and I've often wondered about it being a route in its own right as the two sections are so different in style and grade. At the roof the doom music kicks in and its just ... hard. I may have done about 4 actual moves total on the head wall between sags

Feels doable, can get to the pinch and was slapping just short of the arete sloper. Only tried it one or twice it was baking

Pulled on and did the crux move, got to the rail and kinda lost steam. Very tired after the last 2 days in the gorge

Still no resend but pretty happy to be slapping the last hold a few times

This doesn't look too bad, a couple crimps and then up, might be a gara v2-3. Top out should be fine - tip toe through the ivy. I tickled the first moves with no pad and was sketchy

Felt very hard compared to the two 21's further left I on-sighted just before we tried this. I couldn't even get it on top rope and lost interest

Ha! Was just showing the problem, not attempting it, stacked it and went for a swim

Hard little crimpy number, decent feet. Only a couple goes and then had to go eat the awesome bbq burger Ned put on

Rapped into to take some pics and got a nice vid of Michael taking a whipper when a piece popped. Done a lot of jugging today, way more than the I've climbed

First go, jammed it all up to the little rooflet which was super pumpy, came down after second rest

Rapped off to film Michael, had to bail before I had a go

Tried from the SDS right side in which isn't ideal. Tried left side in but lost motivation

Not even an attempt. I power spotted Volo past the crux starting holds. Seems around V2 once you are on. First moves are brutal

Had a bunch of goes on this, super delicate barn door action. Got within a foot of the glory side pull hold and it feels possible

After I got up most other things fairly easily I was optimistic about this and totally shut down. Start hold is missing but that's not too bad. Could consistently get into the shallow 2-pad pocket and just no idea (or memory) how to progress after that

Got here with headlamps, sweaty from the bash up the hill. Had a few goes, so sharp and so thrashed.

Volo and Ben had gotten a couple moves on this so gave it ago. The moves feel impossible! It isn't really clear where is would go. Don't think I can do it. Sound familiar?? But was mega spent, so something for next time

The water was so high it was more difficult just to get here, only to confirm it was mostly underwater. Volo half jokingly suggested we try the end, and then took off his shirt and did an extremely committing traverse on slopers over the water in his approach shoes. I tried it a couple times and couldn't even do the first move and was totally wigged out. Now that this traverse has been unlocked it is the obvious link up finish to what will be a true king line when finally done (probably next drought)

First time I've been on the 'real' inertia, always been confused by the bolts. This route is quality. Take care to extend gear over the sharper lips to save your rope. Was lightly raining, the cross through move at the lip shut me down and was a bit rushed to spend time working it.

Did the traverse a few times, first using foot looks at arm bars, second with crimps and third with underclings. Was pretty gassed generally by this stage and just couldn't pull onto the mantle.

Arvo mission mostly doing support. Bloody hot so mostly hunkered in the shade until dusk when I wasn't belaying. Yoyo lead the first section ok but a bit flash pumped. Traverse wore me down, and the roof just felt totally impossible. Jumared out and then ruined myself hauling gear and belaying Ben up on horrendous drag

Had a couple goes, hot and weak and my pads were fairly shredded and my left toe nail was whinging. Got to the first crux

This scrubbed up ok. Gritty hard traverse, almost campus problem. Mantle will be very committing and fall is slightly dodgy. Was fairly hot, had maybe a dozen goes, chasing shade from intermittent clouds

Very bouldery start under the roof. Impossible blankness up the pillar. Did the balancy arete move onto the slab. Didn't do the last 2m but it seems doable, might be a dyno

Had a couple burns between Benji sorting it the 3rd ascent. Happy to get to the crux again twice but my tips were feeling a bit abused after the time off

Very thin, much harder than V1. Might have lost some holds

Had a dangle on top rope, always feels crazy hard and takes a few goes to re-figure out the sequence

Had a play at the start but wasn't committing to get my feet up and didn't get far

Keen to tick this off but took an unexpected fall after the second piece, somehow nipping the tip of my 'flexible stem' and had to sit down for a few minutes. This might have also been when the mystery rope burn in my arm pit also happened that I found a day later.

Only one go, got to last traverse move. Time to chase some shade

An optimistic scouting missing turned into an attempt. It started sprinkling again by the time we got setup and only 1 proper burn, carefully stepping on the dry bits, but after a couple goes we were just sitting in the drizzle with soggy pads.

Had a couple goes at this, hand was somewhat better at jambing but still not happy and so left it

Was looking forward to seeing the boys get a solid session on this while I was on camera duty. They made short work of it with different beta and super stoked to see this get sent. It still needs the full link up to be done

Had a couple throws at this, but was pretty tired and tips were sore so my heart wasn't really in it

Did the dyno and then had a pretty funny unexpected stack mid mantle

Had a couple goes on dusk. As always it felt super fingery at first but then I relearnt it and did the crux twice but no topout

Top half is moist, and pretty overgrown. Got to jug after second bolt
