led P1 and 3-4. Cruised 6b roof, fingers cut up by spiky limestone and had to rest a couple of times on 6c pitch. A file, and it would be absolutlely fantastic.

Bolts miss the obvious nice but spaced pockets to the left

Didnt have any cams. Very stout for grade, but actually nice technical moves. Could easily add 2 grades

Draws on, start hold seems to be on ground, but still not the hardest move. Dave got attacked by crow.

Would feel really sketchy to me on lead, getting used to the amazing friction again

One hard move with out good reach, had to use some rather sloppy intermediates.

Did the crux and succumbed to a reach issue that essentially had a dyno for me on the second attempt. Marvellous climbing, very varied.

Led 1,3,5. Nails moves on pitch 1. Major calf pump and then very thin overlap. Kept going back to hands free rest and did it clean about 6th go. Rest of climb straightforward. Walk in on a hot day was epic. About 8 hour round trip and a lot of slabs.

First pitch hard with rack on. 5th pitch the best- very nice crack

Tried to lead, starting crack great, wobbled across traverse, got to third bolt and it is desperate to clip esp when dirty. Took a sideways fall of about 3 m, sprained ankle, cursed carrots, and stupid bolt placement, dave led with some jiggery pokery, managed to second clean ( with more excitement and ankle pain). First pitch only, that was enough!

Worth getting back at 1030pm. Awesome day. Broke a large hold off lower flake. I am such a crusher!

Really good moves and great exposure after the scary start

Rpt from years ago. Nice route, could have half the bolts, and in better positions and it would be mega classic. Getting bolt plates on was almost always in a locked off position

Been on both halves before, a fantastic route.

The best thing about falling at the top was I got to do it again

I think it had some nice climbing , couldnt feel hands. Seconded the FA.

Dogged it, chalked up all the holds then seconded to clean as darkness approached. Quite a lot of long moves and I elected to do the traverse to the top rack at foot level rather than dislocate my shoulder

3 good sections. A shame its not sustained. Take gear for the first 5 metres.

FFA. Hadn’t really Sussed gear during mammoth brushing session, So carried a double rack which really weighed me down through start. Nice climbing.

FFA. The lower half was really good. Had to sort short persons beta going into undercling roof. Hand crack straight forward, but still engaging to anchors. Striking line.

Think we did variant start for 2 pitches, then 3rd pitchto ledge, then part bolted crux pitch, then waited for an hour while handdrilling went on then exited left by best 15m of climbing on route onto 2 pitches of Bastion buttress. A work in progress in parts.

The carrots from the 90s seem pretty good, but would be painful to place Hangers on lead. Some bouldery sections between rest stances.

Feels too stout even on TR for 21. Quite steep and sustained. Start was tricky as was roof.

Maybe I was lacking resolve, but couldn't commit after the undercling so finished up as minnow, and although it's a link up it was quite enjoyable.

Quite a nice route despite the Watagans rock. Easier than space ape. A 0.5 below roof and 0.75 above last bolt in pocket

Some really interesting sequences and awesome knee bar rest for the short which makes up for the moves being cruxier, must lead it, the bolts look ok
