Ascents of Bunny Bucket Buttress

Went with a friend who did most of the leading. Don't be fooled by the 18 grade. Some parts are tricky bouldering moves in fairly exposed areas. Take some energy gels for the last few pitches! They are definitely the best. Some crappy undergrowth on some of the middle, lesser graded pitches, you have to scramble a bit to find the anchors since the fires.

linked 1st pitches. first 80m fantastic and another 80m of classic dinnerplate jug-hauling.

took a whipper on pitch 8 when lost the line of bolts and got onto some nasty slopers.

epic. too exposed for first climb in 7 weeks. DON'T walk out.

Linked P1-P2 and P7-P8. Cold and windy.

Finally came back to clean this up with a couple of British lads, Mike and Andy. Super cruisy day, lots of fun. The route has cleaned up a lot over the last year.

would prob be a classic in my book if not for the crapy 8s in the middle. The grade 17 head wall near the top is incredible!!!

Some good bits; some not so good..

Choss on the 6th pitch start under the roof. Decent route, might clean up after a few sends...

Good adventure. Bottom half will clean up eventually.

Did it back in its glory days. Done it a few times over the years with various folk...

First move was the hardest! Also went on an epic for an hour on the approach looking for 'in theory red flag on a tree'. Thought we'd found it and started up RRR before realising it wasn't the one! BBB was lengthy and super fun!

Epic climb but we ran out out of water and hobbled away from the top like POWs.

Worth the hype. Classic
