Amazing flake systems out here. Granites definitely grippier up here without the glacier polish but the brain is still in yosemite mode and resulted in me desperately ring locking a 5.8 fairly-obviously-layback crack. Got rained out in the arvo and found a pub to knock some pool balls around with the euros. Would really like to do more climbing here and stoked on how the pacific northwest climbing is feeling coming into squamish season!

Really cool route, I chickened out on lead pretty high above the gear and a balance move to gain the crack. Down climbed, went up the lovely Stan's crack and did the route no problem on TR. Would like to come back one day with the balls to make that move

A narrow toprope send with lots of pump on this long and exciting route. We couldn't get the rope to pull through from the bottom so we had to scramble down to pull it from the top. Options are to lead/follow, scramble to the top of yellow fever with the rope to rappel down, or scramble down to pull the rope. Could use some lower-off chains.

Still a little drity (we broke a 50cm50cm20cm piece off). Pretty airy pitch, nice moves up the overhanging arete. This is a one move wonder with a pretty far reach. I worked the move until I found the way to do it. Lowered and redpointed the pitch. 5'9", +1 ape index.

A superb day out on what will sure to become a classic. Great climbing throughout on good rock and gear. The traverse pitch was spectacular however the standout was of course the stem corner on Pitch 9. Absolutely classy climbing with great gear on solid limestone. A rare thing in the Rockies. We aided the roof pitch as per the first ascent team (P8) however it looks reasonably straight forward, just burly. Might just have to go back to try and free this pitch too!

Despite forgetting to bring much necessary gear, I was cruising until the end of the top diherdral when -with my feet 2 bodylengths above a micro cam- I realised the top slopers were wet from the ice-melt, and I became a religious convert . The crack part is easy and pleasant, the face moves not too bad... the dihedral will haunt my nightmares (but is actually pretty good).
