Down climb from Prometheus.

classing it as a free solo feels insanely dramatic. Just a scramble that's slightly more vertical than others at parts

Didn't realise this could be logged and want to keep track of distance. Feels unfair to call it an onsight as so well marked.

Took a triple rack. It wasnt enough. I Need more hexes in my life

Sat on a ledge a few times to rest and recover my headspace. Did some breathing exercises to regain the zen. Pulled it together and sent. Kudos to Cameron Hickling for the onsight solo.

Would hate to not onsight it

Didn’t exactly get the onsite couple of people gave me tips and beta coming back down as I was heading up, crux would defiantly be dodging the loose rocks that people kick down. Mega classic need more traffic.

Quite fun. I wouldn’t do it without a helmet. You can’t have an alpine route in a Qld until the next ice age!

Came to do the Caves Route but there was a rescue underway so I got turned away. The tourist track is surprisingly nice though.

Part of 7 peaks in 1 day challenge.

40 mins up for Sunset. Down climbed in the dark for shits & giggles

climbing this back in 2010 is what got me into rock climbing in the first place. Always great fun.

Walked to the summit to easily rap into cave 5

west track to start the day hanging abseil into the summit cave then up short and sweet and Hercules to finish the day off.

Went up this with a huge huge hangover. Vomited 4 times, but still topped out.

Another gorgeous glasshouse walk, panoramic to say the least. A pity it sees so much traffic the erosion is far from controlled! Food for thought!!!

The usual descent track. God awful loose rubble on the freeway of a track, with many the tourist dislodging it above you.

God knows if I was on the right line. Felt very easy for 14. Had planned to do SFR, but failed to find the start.

Don't give me any beta. Don't want to blow my onsight!

First 'climb' on Tibro.

I actually started out to solo Prometheus I, but looking at what I thought was Felp, I started up the wide gully & quickly got off route (if I ever was in the right place to start with). Anyway, for posterity: Start on the RHS of the big gully below the face with the prominent yellow streaks at the top. Up easy gr.1 rock, trending R, following the LoLR, step R across V-groove and continue up steepening rock till holds runout, then 2m R along sloping ledge to aréte, step carefully around the sharp aréte, avoiding loose blocks, into overhanging corner, up this passing a small bush & ledge above. up slightly easier rock above, again trending slightly R till you arrive at the vegetated terrace. L through this to slaby corner on R, & up the slab & bush bash to the tourist track.

It's a walking track. Good for getting down.
