Other than the dangerously runout poxy start. The upper half is great climbing on beautiful rock! The crux is clipping the anchor (but this might not be the case if key hold gets a scrub). Could probably go in another day of effort

2nd shot today, and I had a lap about a year ago as well. Probably soft at the grade.

Aside from the kinda dangerous bolting, and the uninteresting first half, the second act is sustained and demanding face climbing, with a true heartbreaker arete-slapping finale.

With no chalk on this, the first lap today was rather gripping, given the runouts and the very sideways nature of the route.

A very very sad foot slip with my hand on the hold at the end of the last hard bit saw my hopes of sending dashed. Punter!! Not a climb for short humans! (x3)

Curse the V-impossible Monty Mantle. I cannot touch the low crux mantle-debacle-thing on this (though the rest of the route is fine, and oodles of fun). The middle sequence is continuous pumping up linked features. And the top slab is strangely powerful for a slab. Great rock, with the only downside being its rather stop-start. Might be one for the shorties to lord it over us giants on.

2nd shot. Hard to grade, either 25 or 26 (but substantially harder if you're sort). More sustained than the other routes on this wall, with 3 distinct (and varied) cruxes, but also the shortest route here. Sections of great rock.

2 shots. Has quite a few hard moves, especially in the upper half. Climbed the bottom 2/3rds clean on my 2nd shot. A very awkward dyno around a bulge leads to some extremely hard slab moves which I eventually sorted out. But I couldn't make any REAL progress from the last bolt to the anchor.

Finally figured out a way of doing the low crux (at about V6!). The rest was challenging, but not too bad. Better than I remember.

1st redpoint burn today, 5th shot total. I was adament that this was gr27 up until the Send, which was surprisingly uneventful -though given my aching finger joints and muscles a day later, I must've been trying pretty hard.

Three boulder problems separated by good rests, with the middle one being the hardest and most radical.

2 equipping laps and 3 redpoint burns, all of them ending on the final few moves. Weird that the low crux is no longer an issue (which I couldn't even touch a while ago) but the finale is giving me grief. Perhaps im tired.

2nd shot. Hung around for ages at the crux on the onsight trying to decide whether to commit to the moves despite the dangerous ledgefall potential. Eventually aided off a bolt to extend the clip above. Good climbing in the top half, despite the idiotic bolting. Only briefly cruxy, with a pleasant technical headwall.

Clean repeat. The grade is correct, but the first hard move still took me 15min to work out (again!). The entire upper half is quality, and the finale is tough!

Once you get to the orange rock, this is genuinely good face climbing. The moves themselves aren't hard, but I suspect the counter-intuitive nature of some of the sequences might ruin a few onsights. Steeper than you think!

That first move... Easy after.

Stellar. Difficulty feels about right yea. Didn't commit to standing on a choss block so missed good footers at the top first try. Some better beta saw it through next shot. Good fun.
