Ascensões em Mt Crawford Area

One of the longest projects I've had. Happy to see the chapter finished. A great traverse that is very technical, very strong, very long and very hard on the fingers.

This is actually quite cool and well worth some time. I found it difficult, and I bled.

First time playing around on this, on self belay. Impressive line, and very hard.. Did a bunch of the individual moves in isolation but felt a very long way away from being able to do them in any kind of sequence. Surprisingly got the possibly cruxiest foot smear to stick first try (standing up of the LH sidepull), but the holds ("holds") after that are atrocious (non-positive ~1mm edges which take about 1 or maybe 2 fingers) - good enough to stick the equally awful footers, or to generate upwards motion, but not strong enough to use them for both. At least the section from the top rail isn't hard..

Played around on start. Not close to tall enough to reach the cross-over move Pete used through the first hard section (could only go left hand to the high crimp, which makes the next move hard.. well, even harder)

Either crimp like the dickens or have shoulders of steel. Full value exit.

More like 6 . . . Flexibility takes a lot of bite out of the crux.

Poxy, shallow backed pocket! Good to finally put down this long standing project this year.

Eventually found the right beta for this project. Beware red herrings!

Beta worked out and all the moves go, just got to get fresh and more cool temps!

New highpoint. 2 more moves and its done! Incredible line that pushes the limits of my ability. Love working this epic rig.

An absolute stunner. Slopers for days that felt incredible in the icey cold weather today! Some technical footwork while your hands just grope slopers all day long.

Worked the first moves into where it meets broken flow. Straight forward but will need to be dialled in before linking up. Going to be a power endurance suffer fest.

Stella session today, unlocked the last 2 moves i couldnt do last session and sent in two overlapping parts. Need to dial the new beta, then go for the send!

Such a beautiful line of slopers. Perfect conditions today. Sent twice, couldn't help myself!

New highpoint tonight. Crux went too easily tonight, ran out of steam 2 moves from the mantle! Proud of that session.

2nd ascent. Awesome. Sticking the crux move to the edge just feels good. Get on it.

This is a great problem - people will be lining up for it. Make sure you capture the flag...

Personally reckon it's more of a V7? Used different beta than the FA though some fun moves!

Yeah. Right. This is a pretty fucking hard line ay. Going to need some serious work.

What an epic. Cant wait to get back on this again! Made some good progress, hit the dynamic right hand and got up left but RH slipped off. Will go fresh from a stand start next time before going from the sit. Absolute classic line.

As it turns out the dyno is not the hardest move.. need to work feet out to get above the lip.

Good to be back on this again. This is going to be a fight from the start.

Sent the last move and topped out. Now it is time for redpoint attempts!

Made some small progress on dialling the beta down. The send is definitely feeling closer.

Another good session. 8 or 9 attempts. 3 times hit the crimp but no longer than 1s. More tension required to hold the crimp.

Yeeeees! The jabberwocky has been slain! What a line, what a journey. Bouldering at its finest.
