Ascensions dans Arapiles

Nice line, not sure it deserves all the hype. Fourth pitch was favorite. Need to solo this next time, am sure it will make it more memorable.

Nice solo. Bit commiting at the top, wasy moves...but sans rope? Quality Solo on bomber rock.

First climb at Arapiles. Awesome, love the bolt, but so pumped after stitching three cams in the start! I am such a crap trad climber! Took at the bolt to get the confidence up, then pulled the top easily. Will clean this on the next Arapiles trip.

Who does a pink point on Trad? I DO!!! Mwahaha, I still don't trust my placements, but other peoples, no worries. Fun crack, unlike its painful neighbour the Glory Rat.

Jumped on it 'cos it has bolts! Although a little awkward coming down. Short and pretty ordinary. Still worth it if you like sport and need a rest from fearsome tradding.

First free solo in a long time. Absolute classic route with three sections of climbing that made me want some protection. A great way to clear the head space.

Bold over the bulge to obtain the horn! Jesse on belay.

Excellent climb, airy with spice. First crux on the third was intense, and then fell seconding the 4th pitch at the crux. Dropped kroma and biner...recovered both on first belay ledge.

Final climb of trip with Jesse and Fuj, pre-Mally passing. Jesse free soloed the first pitch, then thought roped might be better.

Excellent outing, first multipitch with Fuj and Claudine. Claudine led the hard ground. Started up first two pitches of Xena, traversed from second belay of Xena to third of Sirens. Spooky traverse.

Day 6, final day of Mally tour. Fuj fell at crux on second pitch, popped RP and landed softly on ledge. Use the piton! Crazy finish up the chimney roof!

A great crack with mix of jams, laybacks and face work.

Fell at the crux once. Led it on Dimetri's pre-placed gear.

Stellar warm up for the other routes in the area.

Lovely varied style on glorious rock. Not sure it deserves the down grade...
