Can make the first move easily now. Got more beta for the next bit so hopefully another shot before we go.

Think this would go with a bit of work. Don't get many shots though as the holds are so sharp.

Why did I wait so long to get on. A new high point but no energy.

Well the first few moves didn't feel too bad...

Nothing like working a problem while inhaling second hand smoke. Had a couple of goes, will go back when it's quiet.

This is by far the hardest boulder I have ever tried and I am stoked with todays work effort. I had no expectations going in other than to simply try it. Git the start sorted and the middle and end sorted. Now it's just a lot of work for the link ups. Belief in the process and myself will be the outcome. PSYCHED!!!!!!!

Goal today was to work the start four or five times, which I did......so that was progress. Also linked the start and middle of the block and then completed the last moves to the top. Patience and a little try hard will see this problem completed. It's a tough and powerful beauty.

Day one on this new project was a ton of fun, with a good fall and working all the lower positions from the start to the end of the traverse out of the cave. This is a new movement feast and its about 7 metres of total climbing. Looking forward to this continued fight for sure!! Today was the first battle and I got hammered. The war continues

Decided to begin working this monster to build fitness and endurance again after my injury and hiatus from climbing. It's a mega project at the grade. 36 or so moves with a very technical and powerful 8 move crux. 16 metres of fun climbing on slopers, at times with marginal feet. Made very good progress session 1. Really surprised myself sorting all the moves to the crux and worked the crux with good progress before the fatigue set in. If you only climb the classics in Bleau, you miss out on so many incredible hidden gems. I believe this to be one of them. The aller-retour (there and back) at 7C (V9) will be insane!!!

Another session on the beast. Whilst progress was made and more fitness gained, the crux is still allusive. Due to my morphology I am unable to release the right heel once placed without moving my left foot (where all the weight is). I have found a different sequence that may allow me to progress, however I need to work it fresh and not after working the first 15 moves 8 times in a row. While this is a project, it is also a great way to get fit again and I will continue to work it..........having the motivation again and feeling like I will not injure myself is a great confidence boost.

went back to the monster on the way home today. Remembered all the moves into the crux and fell in the crux. Oh well it was great to reacquaint myself with this beasty after so long. Injuries are all healed and starting to feel capable again. The journey continues.
