Ascensões em Glenbrook Bluffs

Put the top rope on just to have a look and a laugh. There's no freaking way this would go for me. I pulled off a dozen crimps before I realised I was totally off track.

Barely made the first moves. I have a lot of jamming to practice before coming back to this climb. It's definitely worth training for! Such a great crack!

Great rock for the lower mountains, and wiiiiild moves climbing inverted feet in the offwidth. I found the moves to turn the lip and mantle out pretty bouldery at the grade, but maybe I had a silly sequence? Would love to hear beta on it.

I can only think of 3 other offwidths in the greater Blueys that compares in the grade range/style, and this is probably the best.

For some reason I didn't read the description, and only brought 2 x 5's, which was not ideal. I'll be back with the right gear for the red point, cause this puppy is totally worth it!

Didn’t enjoy this. Too many dodgy holds and couldn’t enjoy the climbing.

A couple of nice holds in amongst sand and blankness. Cool features but be careful clipping the anchor. Maybe put draws on first next time.

Hard start. Our crew had fun on this on top rope.

Pretty sandy might clean up ok with more traffic.

Not sure what this was about ... "Freja's Slab" followed by short traverse across wall seething with lichen and orchids, if seethe is what they do. Do yourself a favour and finish in the old-fashioned manner, at the tree.

Boulder start indeed: haul or campus into the wall then easiliy up the jugs. Maybe 18-19 start.

An ambitious boulder problem to learn crack climbing on. Top rope solo still requires cams

The big sloper inside crack at top of first bulge is unstable (for hands or cams) and could partially come down on top of you, harder grade without though. Another loose chunk over lip, under anchor

This rock is sooo soft. There's a lot of bulgy flakes at this crag that have a bit off mass but not much strength.

Fun little route, just have to be picky with the holds, unlike the more sparse slab beside it

Yeah it's alright if you are getting the taste for lead climbing. Not long enough to feel any sense of accomplishment unfortunately.

Unclear from description and assorted bolts on site how to start this correctly. Quite mossy on the traverse.

Potential for harder route on the right side of arete.

Sure I made it harder in sandals, clipping and unclipping my leashes between bolts but hey. Weird move to start and rest easy. Tested the limits of Teva friction, though.

Water feature at base nicely complimented by flora and leaf litter around top. True micro-clim(b). Will give it a clean when drier
