Amazing route despite almost freezing my fingers off in the first half

Not too bad today but doing the arete straight up without cheating by going left still spooks me.

Second go led to send! Good climb, interesting all the way up

I finally completed the climb for the first time. The first crux felt easy with beta know-how. Fell on the arete as I couldn't find/commit to the big jug. Definitely going to go next time.

About time I had a go. The onsight, I guess, was a bit of... Wishful Thinking. Pumped out just below the rest, near the 4th bolt. Ended up sitting at the arete before the move to the rooflet. Solid climb, and keen for another go!

I failed so hard that I unsent it. I guess Boogie is going back on the project list.

So pleasant. It went first attempt yay!

Got the sequence for the first crux right. Need to dial in the sequence for the arete section.

About time

Finally got on this on lead, few whips to the 3rd bolt, then 2 of my biggest whips to the last bolt. It was good, but I think I need few more go to get it! Scary run out

End of day attempt.

Takeaways:

Try not to hesitate on the first half, especially 3rd clip.

After the 4th and 5th draw you can retreat back to the rest.

At the side pull area there is a really high foot on the right which makes this part far easier. Keep bumping left hand at this point.

The rest is technically easy - good foot holds and jugs but you’ll be pumped at this point and it’s pretty spooky.

Finally sent this route after two different sessions trying it. Only warming up on a top rope 9, I immediately got flashpump from the 3rd clip. After figuring out good beta last session for the two different cruxes, I found that the biggest hurdle was clipping the 3rd bolt. After that I knew that the rest of the route would come easy enough. I believe this route is sandbagged as I have sent and even flashed other 21's. In addition this could also be because the route is not my style as a lot of the holds feel reachy for me.

Apparently I'm blind and just could not see the 5th bolt for ages. Too long screwing around with the bolt right in front of my face and pumped out. Frustrating after getting it clean last weekend.

Messed up the sequence around the third bolt, lowered, and let Cam climb instead. Sent it on my next attempt. It's hard to believe that, when I tried this last year, I had to rest on literally every bolt.

Humbling climb, especially if you haven’t sport climbed for a while. Great line.

Doable now that I have some beta, maybe next time I'll send it. The third clip feels a bit sketchy but the rest is great right after it. The remaining part didn't feel too tough once I had the beta, there's an okay rest just after going left around the arete.

The curse of Boogie persists, and this time, rather than a ground fall, it was too much Matte! Had the most miserable time on a climb with a constant fear of a looming brown point. Thank the gods it did not come to pass.

I long for the day when I send this cursed route. At least I got to my high point, it has to go next time for it is my duty to send it!

What a climb! First attempt putting up draws and getting spooked. Second attempt in the rain searching for dry feet on the run to the anchor and shivering while cleaning. Awesome!
