Mount Jaithmathang is a granite mountain range in Alpine National Park in Northern Victoria. Its most prominent peak, Mount Jaithmathangs lies at an elevation of 1826 metres above sea level.

Looking Down the rocky gully the first feature on the right is a small alpine type arete. The Climb takes the slab at the L of the arete.

The slab, then a series of steps to the crest of the arete. Up broken rock above to belay on top.

Starts at the lowest part of the slabs down from Staircase Climb.

  1. 30m. Up the slabs to belay below grassy ledge at the foot of the wall.

  2. 30m. Move R across the ledge to the foot of the final steep wall. Up, keeping near centre to a small ledge thenthrough small overhang to top.

At the front (W) of the prow of rock on the S side of the gully, past the overhangs are two obvious lines. The left line.
