From the parking, follow the main trail until the sculpture of a shepherd in the wall on your right. The crag is above the bend of the road (to which it owes it's name), a short scramble to access the base, easy to find.

Roccomorice offers every type of climbing from beginner positive walls, to technical climbs, to pure overhanging routes from start to finish. Difficulty ranges from 4b to 8b with an average difficulty of 6c. It is one sine wall so each sectors runs down the road one after another. The sun is on the wall in the morning and in the shade during the evening except for sectors (Galon, Buconi, Ghaza, Plache)

From "Corno nero", take a path to the right. Follow it for quite a while until you reach a placard with a map and a signpost. Follow the hiking trail, then veer of to the left following a series of cairns. Finally, scramble up to a broad ledge secured with a thin steel cable.

At the square of Prati di Tivo, turn left and follow the road (first paved, then unpaved) to the end, towards Cima Laghetta. Park there where the road ends (42.5003497, 13.5823104). You can already see the cliff from the car park, looking towards the Gran Sasso. It is in the small rock face below the Albergo Diruto (an old building on the crest of the Arapietra) (42.493528, 13.573326). Take the obvious path that leads to the Albergo Diruto. At the height of the rocky outcrops on which the hotel is built (i.e. about thirty metres below the hotel itself), leave the ridge and turn left to reach the cliff. Cliff at 1800 m above sea level, facing east. Summer.

A bouldering area with about thirty blocks, located on the eastern edge of the Campo Imperatore plain. The "di Sole" pass marks the border with the province of Pescara. Unlike the other areas, it is not immersed between rock and high peaks, but it is right on the edge of the Gran Sasso chain, in an area where you must know how to find the rock!

The climbing area enjoys an exceptional view over the plain of Campo Imperatore, a real postcard of the Gran Sasso! The exposure is south, and despite the altitude (1700m above sea level), sun and snow permitting, it is climbable until the beginning of winter.

The area also hosts a cliff, a few hundred meters from the blocks, which remained hidden by the beech forest until May 2010 when the first route "Aunt Esterina" was bolted.

From the A24 motorway, exit at Assergi: continue in the direction of Campo Imperatore until the crossroads for Castel Del Monte (Campo Imperatore plain) on the right, continue for a few kilometres until you reach the butchers in Fonte Vetica; continue on the road until the crossroads for Farindola, Vado Di Sole on the left (the sign is yellow). Continue straight for about 2 km. Before the Vado, on the left there is a large uphill lawn and the rocky outcrops are visible; be careful, the largest sector is not visible from the road because it is covered by woodland. Park near a little visible concrete block on the left of the road and from there take the path. Approach about 15 min.

The first open blocks date back to 2008, while the most important climb was 'La Scarpetta di Cavalletto' (8a) by Roberto Parisse in 2011.
