Fun day out with Pheebs. Had an explore and lead into unmapped territory just for fun. I lead the first pitch of chameleon and then pheebs set off in the direction of good gear, heading out left. Interesting slab pitch, with some good moves! Then I set off, being about level with the belay for salamander, did a fun traversing pitch left, past a bolt (?) On slabby terrain with good pockets! Hoping to come back and try it again some time!!! Finished up salamander and walked back down in my socks. I fell over and scratched my arm up quite badly because of that.

Yay, been wanting to do this one for a while, and decided today was the day. Led P1 and P3. Funky mantle and traverse on P1 was very fun. Thought P3 was a grade 14(?!) for whatever reason and was not ready for its boldness and difficulty! P2 and P4 were also excellent. A slow ascent but a great day out

I appreciated the thoughtful laybacking, but my enjoyment was marred by a nagging fear that I had placed an overcammed cam and a dodgy nut. My worries came true as poor Lizzie was put to work trying to get the gear back. The nut was lost, but huge thanks to the pair behind us who were able to retrieve the cam due to cooler conditions. A good learning experience

This was such a cool climb, like a harder Lamplighter. The roof in the first pitch took me by surprise, looked more vertical from the ground. Set up a belay from the bolts and then alpine traversed over to the ledge. The traverse to the right at the start of the second pitch and the chimney after were both thought provoking, exciting, and great.

A route Bah Bes and I had scoped on our first trip. Fun to jump on it after all these years! Was unsure about the single rope beta but it's fine. You just walk off. Easy peasy! Doozy of a first pitch that gave me a run for my money! Cracks and laybacks and some GD wild moves for a 15!!

I seconded this climb and really liked it! It was fun and we made a nice little day out of it! As there was three of us the ledges were good and worked just fine for three people if you have a small group.

Slipped out of the offwidth chimney, decked on the ledge below, bounced the back of my helmet-less head off the opposing wall. It was a great time. I had to take my helmet off because I literally couldn't fit my fat head through the chimney with the helmet on. Mistake #1: putting a quickdraw on the #5 C4 I had in the roof. Go direct and make sure your belayer has you on a tight leash. Mistake #2: not taking off the helmet before trying to squeeze my melon through the chimney. Had to awkwardly take it off while fighting for my life. Mistake #3: not having a #3 C4 ready to place after getting my head through. What kind of sadist grades this as an 18 by the way?
