Old-skool 22. Powerfulsustained 1st half, and engaging top half. Bit sharp to start. Beware the semi-permanent flake. Glad I didn't lead this in its previous engineering state. Pretty classic really.
Re-checking this out. Great climbing but weird and cool all at once. Sharp at the start. Great sequences blindly through the ripples up the top section.
Feisty sharp bouldery crux down low, then eases off to the most amazing sequences through dribble castle style rock that's more like limestone and very unique. Greatmantle at the top to anchors (not too hard). Really cool, really unique. Damn crux sequence....
Tim recommended this so I got on it an put the draw on it. It is the strangest rock I have climbed on in the Blue Mountains. It look like someone threw muck all over the bottom of the route and the top is sharp and brittle. Really weird rock, but a really fun route.
Had another shot pulled through the crux and clipped the fourth. Foot popped and that was that. Oh well! Will go back and knock it off next weekend maybe.
The crux of this route is really fun climbing if your tall. Its all about the process baby
Broke a footer at the crux at the second bolt, took a huge (painful) fall, and made a mess of one of my fingers. Climbed to the runout between the 3rd and 4th bolt, but my psyche was no longer there, my boldness pass for the day had expired, and I was tired. So I backjumped to the last ring and bailed. Might be pretty good, I just need to come back and see. The rock is a bit questionable.
