Crimpy campus fun

Took maybe a dozen goes to figure out where it went, was getting a wee bit thrashed at the end, great problem

After first couple goes thought this would be super hard, but unlocked it 3rd go

This was heaps of fun, had a few spills into the water and had to chalk my shoes up heaps to dry them. I didn't link the full sit start

It toggled back and forth between thinking it was way harder than I'd thought, and then slowly unlocking it. I did the far left start, traverse through the giant ledge and up to the second slopy rail. Just need to stick the sideways dyno to the top

My back was feeling pretty broken by this stage, gave up went scouting. Came back for one last try or two and three and then caught it.

A bunch of goes, two tiny feet work and within a couple inches of the top, but needs a lot more weetbix

Initially daunting but quite fun

Sick roof problem, one of the best at the grade in all of gara

First half is awesome fun, then long gaston into the groove and then desperate grovelling up the unscrubbed groove

Tried right layback, tried highstep left, no luck getting established

Still claiming the onsight even though Carol made me attempt to take my shirt of mid move

Climbs better than I thought - very happy to do the start static (Carol jumped past this first move)

Worked for ages with Carol and was getting pretty tired, walked away to take a photo and suddenly she'd done the dyno and was all tangled mantling the lip. Could slap the hold but didn't really commit to holding it, glad it was fully topped out this time

Had a real feel, this thing is brutally sharp and thin, unpsyched

Easy layback through the roof, got a bit tangled / scared at the bulge and bailed

Up layback then stretch out to finger lock, cut sick then powerful move slow down the barn door. Finally held the move but munted my finger, need to tape up next session

First warmup, took a couple goes to resend

Was mega excited to finally try this at low water. Had a few goes at this but just could not hold the sloper layback. Need more energy!

Worked this for ages, trying various hand jams, fist jams, foot locks and generally had a ton of fun and burnt a lot of energy

Eventually gave up and did a lap on the easy but classic stand start

Worked this for a while, started to deplete energy. It's tantalizing! If it was off the ground it would likely go very quickly.

Decide we couldn't leave this total gem undone. Will make a great lower grade classic with just a taste of highball exposure.

Hard. Very little in the way of feet. Seems possible though. Fantastic fun throwing ourselves at it

Jumped on this, expecting to get shut down hard as usual which I was, but somehow progress was still made. I can side pounce off the left rail, delicate right foot low to stabilize and I can just curl my tips over the lip (probably 10cm further than last times). Still need to get deep onto the top and it will be a wild swing if I can actually get there. Froth! Had a lot of goes, lost count, feeling very worked now afterwards.

Jumped on this in the faing dusk, had a couple goes and got up to the chip essentially at the top and jumped off just a bit wrecked. Wicked day of bicep funsies The couple very highball lines to the right look very enticing and pants wetting. Need to find about 10 pads and a big crew...

Was looking forward to seeing the boys get a solid session on this while I was on camera duty. They made short work of it with different beta and super stoked to see this get sent. It still needs the full link up to be done

Whoa Nelly. This thing is really beaut. I really wasn't feeling the sketchy desperate RH dyno with the shitty right foot (not sure why) so tried a semi-static LH and was pretty surprised/stoked when it stuck 3rd go from the crimp rail. Tried a few times to do the full link and got close. Maybe next time

The water was so high it was more difficult just to get here, only to confirm it was mostly underwater. Volo half jokingly suggested we try the end, and then took off his shirt and did an extremely committing traverse on slopers over the water in his approach shoes. I tried it a couple times and couldn't even do the first move and was totally wigged out. Now that this traverse has been unlocked it is the obvious link up finish to what will be a true king line when finally done (probably next drought)

This is a text book example of everything I love about bouldering. The water level was high and so our original goal of the big nugget was out, as was the king line project. We'd looked at this wall more than once before but it didn't seem that great. Michael started scrubbing and it just got more and more intriguing. But it was completely impossible! I couldn't even pull on! It was totally beyond me. Gradually refined beta and we managed to get unlock it bit by bit and after probably 15 goes got the tick! I haven't pinched, compressed, campus'ed and generally thrashed myself this hard on something in ages and I love it

I thought this would be easy but the start turned out to be quite hard up the direct line I was expecting as well as sharp. Ben found a hold way round left. I also did the 'head jam' move same as Ben to get the finish

Volo and Ben had gotten a couple moves on this so gave it ago. The moves feel impossible! It isn't really clear where is would go. Don't think I can do it. Sound familiar?? But was mega spent, so something for next time

Such a classic. I tried this so many damn times but by the time it was figured out there was no more beans in the tank.
