whoever graded this either has very small hands or doesn't know what 17 cracks should be, maybe it's just old-school 17 idk. It's mainly green size (which is too small) and pretty steep and it was getting late, so only got 3m up and decided to down lead the crack. also the walk-in and belays had snow so fingers were freezing.

ill come back in summer again and try these then.

pretty sweet line, this is for sure. couple of real hard locks i had to think about and placing gear in a rush while shaking and slipping out of a jam is always fun. real technique type operation it was, but seams like one of the only fairly graded hard cracks this place has to offer.

would say the grade of this is a bit easy. perfect jams and a bit slab off vert. did it in hiking boots and cruized up for first climb of the day.

this thing is otherworldly. a seriously 45 degree overhanging corner handcrack (the photo and description were unbelievable, so take my word for it). gear is primo the the ow to finish is supreme. did it make the insane approach worth it? of course not. would i have had it any other way? probably. would i do it again? sadly yes.

as one of the few billy joel songs i can stand, this climb was surprisingly heinous (for those wondering: we didn't start the fire is #1 for me, as cliche as that may be)

What a route. Bigger than in the pictures. The start is bold unless you can stick clip a cam (how??). Good hands and smeary feet make the first part interesting with some occasional stemming when you remember the wall behind you. Then the offwidth... It shut me down. I got sad. So I laybacked it and that worked well. Slopey topout. I couldn't of done this route more messily but it was worth it. I certainly couldn't of led it

Unlike the crack around the corner, this has a wide variety of sizes from fingers, thin hands and the odd hand jam. A smorgasbord of jamming technique. Fun to top rope. Glad I didn't lead it.

Does what it says on the tin. Most pure handcrack I've ever done. Dreamy

Tricky start, slightly flared placements and more comfy crack climbing above. Beautiful alcove.

Even when it closes up, there are still plenty of hand jams to go round!

Managed to avoid the stinging nettle.

A bit overgraded... Were the first assentionists slab climbers? Did some gardening up top. Some nice nettle stings to show for it!
