Ascensions dans Muline Crag

Did all the moves pretty steady, but linking is a different story. A dream route for me!

Huge progress from last time. Refined loads of micro beta. Just need to refresh the headwall and get the fitness levels up. Psyched.

Speed mission today. Two new high points. Getting into 3rd and main crux. Maanged a reasonable link through from main crux to the knee bar on the headwall but arms failed masively after that. Keen so spend some summer arvos here and try and get this one done. Has to be a contender for the best linkup in the land.

This crag is ridiculous, what an awesome climb! Frothing over those crux moves, mad tension power endurance and then classic moves to finish up the eye. Not sure about the grade, had my name written all over it but didn't feel 2 grades harder than path of yin. I started up middle path but apparently the FA was up path of yin start which would add a bit. Either way amazing climb. 4th shot

Can pull the crux off the ground practically every time. Pretty sure it's not V8.

Getting pretty unhappy about whipping onto that carrot. I know it's good but one day it won't be. Fell onto it a few times and bailed.

Not looking forward to falling off those top crimps, they look gnarly.

I set this a little goal in my head when I started climbing again after 18 months of. First day back on and so psyched. Sorted all the moves and very solid links. I can do this route!!!

Some progress and refinement. New beta for first crux, 1-2 more moves, but much more solid. Good link from below 2nd crux to the top.

Yay for new beta. First lap today went bolt to bolt without a single fall. All moves solid as a rock!

2nd go, got a highpoint, falling of in the 2nd crux and managed the hard clip. Imagine if I hadn't been sick all week and had actually trained in the last 2 weeks.

Getting reacquainted. Easy getting the draws in, not enough PE for linkage. So damn cold

End of the day demolition. Did all the moves through the crux. Awesome!!

Aww man so close. Fell of last hard move. Not over there but you'd be in with a damn good chance to send. Alas my finger is now pretty damn sore.

Hard start, couldn't figure it out!

A quick EOD lap to get the draws back. Didn't try the start, and bailed just below the moves to gain the headwall (after taking 2 upside down falls where my leg got caught behind the rope - I get really confused on this sort of horizontal climbing). If I could climb the grade, this would be at the top of my list. More varied, and unique than Eye of the Tiger (though I'm not complaining about THAT mega route), with some pretty exciting horizontal roof-bouldering sections, and funky 3-D climbing along varied roof-features. Super-psyched just to have had a play on this beauty.

Just a little play. Did the boulder start second shot (V6/7) then mostly draw to draw. Super funky steep climb but the rope runs a bit funny in spots and I got a bit scared. The top crimp boulder is nails, a real heartbreaker.

Great to get back on this and see progression. 2 new high points today and only 4-5 moves to go. Felt solid on all moves. Great winter proj.

One move higher. Stuck the sloper but too gassed to bump. Happy with that on 3rd shot of the day. Doing the link from bolt 4 to the top consistently after falling. Enjoy the process philby.

Sweeet. Feeling super solid on the crux, will link from the ground soon. Upper headwall is harder than expected. Couple of very tricky moves after a long section on slopes.2 sits. Happy for first day effort.

Progress. Linked from the ground through crux to bolt 4, then to the top. The headwall is still hard and pumpy and exciting. Will be back soon.

3 wet laps today. Did the start boulder 3 for 3 but the holds around the roof rib were pretty damp. It would go if I had more time.

Cleaning route after Stefan's onsight. I pulled on carabiner in roof through crux and had rests after crux. Would like to come back to this one!!
