Awesome! Lovely jamming getting progressively harder, into deep recessed fists, and an all-consuming thrutch. Came off around the Hejira bolt. worked out some cool techniques i like for the wide crux. at the top its thin again, then wide again. Ass-kicking and glorious. Super fun, but would be so exhausting to link. Stoked with how well I did, keen to project!

Got it this time. Definitely a challenging route to onsight - fighting the pump while working out where the gear goes. More than grade 19 to where you break out left from SJ too.

Very fun and engaging climb. Tricky sequence before gaining the traverse, Will made this look very smooth while leading.

My body is bloody, scratched and overall in a lot of pain. Note to self is ankle and arm protection. The middle section of this climb was really enjoyable and engaging jams. The offwidth is something new to me and it took a while to get my groove. I'll definitely come back for it but may need to emotionally prepare myself.

Very fun climb!! Foot popped at the #2 to #.75 transition, rested there then continued up. Top section was engaging and definitely a grovel! Will come back for this climb.

Finally worked out that top offwidth, still a darn hard workout. Guess if I can do it with the weight of my and Claire's shoes, I can probably do it with a trad rack. Things to think about.

Felt like I snuck up on this one today. After work session on a beautiful evening. Jumped straight on, went way better than expected, back home in time for dinner and tv on the couch. 👍

So you want adventure you say? But you only want to climb 15m you say? We’ll look no further than this shining pile of interest. ‘Struggle up the offwidth’ says the guide. Well I can tell you I did more than struggle. It may only be 4m long but you’ll have to work for every inch of it. Careful not to look down at your belayer giggling because you look like a cat in its box of kitty litter at 2am in the morning, whilst also feeling like a 1500s jungle explorer. Well done on making it through the gurgler, enjoy some nice hand jams until the roof. Oh, you like German baked goods you say? Great! Because you’re about to become a pretzel. Have some grass with that. And don’t forget that the beached whale top out into hardy shrubs is the coolest way to top out. You’re almost at the top. But oh no! The east exit chimney is now grade 36 because you’ve just circumnavigated the buttress with your rope and you can’t move. Keep struggling to the tree at the top. Also, make sure you start this as late as possible on a weeknight so your second has to do it in the dark. 10/10 experience. Everyone must do once, but then never again.

The jamming felt more technical but less sustained than Savage Journey. Offwidth was pretty easy in the end, plenty of good rests. Great route.

Bottom half was soggy. Gear didn't inspire confidence in shallow, wet, flaring placements. 2 nice jamb moves, then found the top section hard. Take an extra 0.5 next time. One fall at the top.

such fun jamming! found the section of thin hands and fridge hugging really tricky and took a bunch of falls before i was able to gain the good hand size above. Top fist jam corner was super interesting and engaging, got through it with one sit! Coming back to this!

Rappelled to inspect prior to climb. Goes well. Traverse is just good fun. Easy pro the whole way. Got slightly stuck in the middle, but all you have to do is just stand up. Works every time.

piecing together some moves! better than last time! got the top and the bottom cruxes to go much quicker, in a couple of tries. Hardest part for me this time was getting into the finger crack, so need to work on my locks! still getting so pumped in the layback and needing plenty of sits, but linking it slightly more! still a long way to go!

beautiful and interesting climbing! technical laybacking and fingerlocks, and a bouldery crux near the top. some of the coolest and techiest moves I've pulled! hardest thing I've tried and it was a mega dog, but I was so stoked to get the moves! really surprised myself! Can't wait to work it! pure gold!

Can't believe this hadn't been done yet. A bit of cleaning has revealed a hidden gem. Goey at the grade and a good test-piece. A good one to learn the necessary jamming skills before jumping on Albatross at Lowdina.
