Ascensions de Butter Me Up

2nd V6 and I am psyched. Very beta intensive, great climbing, worth the skin. Thanks to Albert for the chats and the vibes. Amazing to see how many different methods there are.

Got the second move! Psyched. Feels close which probably means its about another 5 sessions away.

First move dialed, end feels fine, just gotta get move 2 and 3 figured out.

Definitely the hardest v6 for me so far. This took so many sessions, and I was so so stoked to get the send. Seemed so impossible at the start, so this tick feels particularly good

After a 13 session siege split over 8 months, it finally goes. Happy I gave it one more session.

Butter me up is the by far the hardest V6 I’ve climbed, maybe that’s a style thing, maybe Tooheys is hard.

The 5th session on this thing since coming back in February. On the third session I fell on what shouldn't have been a droppable finish.

Trying to scrape some lessons out of this as the last two sessions have felt like I've gone backwards. The rain, wet rock, humidity, and heat probably aren't helping.

Amazing climb. I'll probably give it one more summer sesh and if it doesn't go I'll come back to it later in the year when I’m hopefully a stronger and better climber.

This thing is pretty serious. 80% goes but that 20% seems pretty illusive.

Original method, hadn't tried it this way before. Solid V6. Better quality than with the undercling. That's a lot of flagging.

Can do the first move but not the second.

More consistent on the first move. Just need to regain condition to do able to do the second.

Now have beta that i can do for first move.

Super stoked to get the send. The first couple of moves were proper hard but all in all, it was an unreal climb

Nearly stuck the first move for the first time. This is getting closer. Still feels easier to climb the original line than use the undercling...

Linked from end of second move through to the lip. First move still feels far too strong for me. (Avoiding the undercling).

Progress. Stuck the 3rd move this time. Now to get the 2nd and link it all.

Climbed easily from one hand in the intermediate slopey pocket and the other on the top left sloper to the top. Nearly stuck 3rd move (first hand to top left sloper) for first time. Felt good pulling on 2nd move (to intermediate slopey pocket) but still can't do it. Feels within reach soon.

Straight back on it. Nice.
