Ascensions dans Yane Iwa II

Started climbing at 15:00 after the crowds had disappeared. We completed the round trip in 2hours.

1.5 hours ascent, 0.5hour descent.

Awe-inspiring and super exposed 2 pitch slab traverse route. There position and exposure of the route, combined with the thin and technical movements keep things thrilling the whole way to the anchor.

This is a classic climb up a magnificent exposed face. The crack is hard to protect in sections, however the gear that can be found is bomber. This is a must do for all aspiring Crack Assentionists

My first trad lead at Ogawayama!

Classic old-school climb high up over the valley and following the obvious line of weaknesses. Rock a little variable, but fine where it counts. Mostly trad placements, but with one bolted belay station and 3 or 4 bolts where it is hard to find pro. Great views & positions. I'd be happy to lead all pitches, but the 5.8 squeeze chimney would be a bit exciting as no pro inside for 6-7m, and its hard if you don't have good technique (I don't...)

This is the most popular route in the area. The 4th and 5th Pitches is what draws climbers to this route. The 4th pitch is a classic undercling hand traverse around a semi detached boulder with great exposure and open air all around. The final pitch is a nice short hand and off width sized crack which packs a surprise punch for unsuspecting climbers
