Big place not to be underestimated. Need to take A game. Lots of run-outs. I lead all pitches, varied styles.

The overall grade is around 20. The first pitch has a sling to pull through the crux, making it easier. Can do it in 4 pitches by combining the last two pitches. The first 3 pitches have some awkward climbing next to a body-sized crack. Try to resist the urge to go deep in the crack and get stuck .

Heinous amount of bad rock on this line. Incredible setting but more of a survival mission than a rock climbing outing.

We went off route on pitch 4 and climbed the chimney on the right ro further reconnect the route and exit through Groethook Chimney

Bolting is a bit inconsistent.

Easy, but very clean route. First set of chains are low, making the second pitch longer. Be careful with the abseil if you're using 50m half-ropes.

Awesome route, beware possibility of loose flake.

Fun Route

Great fun! There is a huge variety of movement.

Started from the ground, buttress and pitch 1 makes a good 55m. Superb climb!

Crux pitch was definitely the chimney for all 3 of us, maybe because of the style? I hated it and had to pull on a draw, but all the other pitches largely made up for it.

Super cool. Around pitch 4 à LOT of grass and sod clumps, pretty slippery and scary. Most used piece of pro : cams 1 to 3. very few nuts. Had to pull on a cam in pitch 14 as i tried to go straight up into choss instead of traversing left then up.

Sold to me as "laybacky but OK for warm-up". Thanks Andrew nice thin technical most of the way

1 fall p1 draw 5 I think, 4to 6 is crux. P2 has cruxy powerful side pull shortly before chains. Common decision to bail instead of suffering in the sun in p3

Grabbed the draw in the upper crack, and underclinged the hell of a draw to reach "something" on the bulge

Nice flakes features, more hand grips than most climbs at the dome

Finished up OSW because WED was crammed. Noah solo'd most of P4, clipping only one bolt at the first set of anchors.

The route was a bit hairy for an F1, maybe it's easier if you choose a different line.

We descended by abseiling down the gully just right of the ridge.

Pitches 3, 6, and 7 very unprotected. Apparently it is possible from pitch 6 to go diagonally left to the top.

There is lichen on the rock at the bottom but it clears up halfway up P2. The run-out bit on P2 is easy climbing luckily. The rest is very good.

Lead P4 in the rain. Excellent gear.

A good beginner's route. The first half is brilliant.

Some variation of Last Moon with Clive and Jude for he first 3 pitches (4h!) and with Guy Pitman and Pierre Carter for the following 10 pitches (4h30). On top at 14h30, we did the maze with no stress in 1h and could rest near the stream for the rest of the afternoon. Pitches 3 (Moonshadow), 9 (Last moon) and 10 (Moonraker) were epic.

Only went to tree in middle, but what a beautiful climb to there, with a stunning view.
