Description

(Beom-bawi) - Beom-bawi is relatively small, but offers pleasant climbing on vertical and overhanging granite walls. It faces southeast. (Tanggeon-bawi) - e granite climbs here are intense with lots of jugs and pumpy holds. It faces south and is in the sun all day. The upper wall is on the right side of the crag. (Janggun-byeok) - As the main crag of Mucheok-san, this crag has various climbs from a crimpy face to an easy, short slab and a hard overhanging wall. It faces south. (Jeok-byeok) - is crag is right by the trail and the climbs are mostly short slabs and vertical climbing on granite rock. It faces southwest. (Gaya-byeok) - e crag is also right by the trail. e climbs are mostly short slabs and vertical climbing on granite rock. It faces southwest. (Sumeun-byeok) - is is a short and small crag with mostly vertical, easy climbs on granite rock. (Haneul-byeok) - Although the crag o ers easy and short climbs, a vast view awaits at the top and is a great place for beginners. It faces southeast and opens to the sky. (Seong-byeok) - The hard, overhanging climbing here compares to Seonun-san.

Approche

(Beom-bawi) - From the parking lot at the foot of the mountain, there is a small temple called Seokgol-sa 석골사 to your right. Walk towards the temple and head to the Buddha statue. then walk 5m towards the temple’s main building. Look for a drainage ditch to your right. Follow the trail that follows along the drainage ditch and a steel line for five minutes. (Tanggeon-bawi) - 200m before Moeun-am Temple 모은암, look for a trail on your right at the sharp switchback (and warning sign) on the concrete-paved road. Follow this trail for twenty minutes. (Janggun-byeok) - From the end of the concrete-paved road, right below Moeun-am Temple 모은암, take the path to your left . Continue for 300m, past the Rescue Mark 3-2, and search for a faint trial on your left 30m before the small rock tunnel. Follow the trail for 50m. (Jeok-byeok) - Right after passing the trail to Janggun-byeok, continue up the main trail for 50m. The crag will be on your right next to the rock tunnel. (Gaya-byeok) - Gaya-byeok is located above the rock tunnel on your right, on the main trail past Jeok-byeok. (Sumeun-byeok) - Continue down the trail past Jeok-byeok. Walk through the rock tunnel on your left and follow the path for 100m. (Haneul-byeok) - Continue hiking on the main trail past Gaya-byeok for 300m. Haneul-byeok is located on the highest point of the main trail, above all the crags except Seong-byeok 성벽. Hanuel-byeok can be easily seen from the trail. (Seong-byeok) - From Haneul-byeok 하늘벽, hike towards the prayer retreat 무척산기도원 until you reach a small waterfall. Walk past the waterfall for 50m and at the fork, take the path to the left . Walk down for 300m until you reach a grave site. From the grave site, look for an o -beaten trail heading downwards. It leads to the top of the crag. Coming from Haneul-byeok, it will take twentyfive minutes.
