Sketchy esoteric adventure. Not without interest, but more like VS than Diff. You need to be confident on at least 4a and vegetated ground with few reliable runners for this..

A fun pitch that requires a number of interesting manoeuvres not found in the average rock climbing manual. Start at a large tree close to the back of the ledge, next to two acute overhangs. Climb up the tree and fix a runner in the branches before stepping onto the slab above the overhangs. Without the aid of a large rock anchor bolt climb the slab to a peg at the base of a right-leaning flake. Climb the flake, peg, to its end and a useful iron spike runner. Pull up the steep wall above the flake and finish steeply leftwards on good holds, passing another iron spike runner midway.

A well-travelled line up the slab and corner in the centre of Evening Wall. Start at the left side of the slab where it abuts a steep wall. Make a bouldery move over the low overhang to get established on the slab. Climb the polished slab, with a move right to runners in a thin horizontal crack halfway. Gain a ledge at the base of the steeper upper corner. Follow the corner to an exit on the left. A variation finish up the wall and overhang right of the final corner is also worthwhile.

Alternative route off lunchtime ledge to Direct Route.
