Descrição

A number of large blocks with surrounding forestry regrowth. A number of quality established problems, potential for further development. Most problems done before 2003 fires by Chris Warner and Clinton Szady

Questões de acesso herdado de Western Area

This is part of the Lower Cotter water catchment area. There are a number of rehabilitation projects underway to manage run off and erosion.

Acesso

After the turn-off to Laurel Camp Road, continue straight on (there's a slightly left turn at one point) for 2.9 km until you get to the turn-off to Pierces Creek Road. Turn onto Pierces Creek Road and continue along this for a short distance until you see the boulders on the right. A slightly longer walk-in to these boulders than some of the other areas, approximately 250 metres.

Ética herdado de Pierce's Creek

Pierces Creek is primarily a bouldering area however a number of naturally protected lines have been established over the years. No bolting of routes is accepted. Instead, ascentionists use natural protection on the higher problems, or where that is not available, rely on mats, spotters, and gumption.

Up the crack and mantel.

Up the arete and mantel.

rated X - danger!

This has probably been done (??) but there's no details available on problems at the Lynch Blocs. The photo is taken from the base of the climb, looking upwards. It looks like there's enough holds to survive, if you climb something like 8 grades harder!

Stand start under the blunt arete, use the pencil crimp to get into the undercling in the little roof and top out

FA: Stephen, 17 Sep 2022

start on crimps in the in the crack right of hangman. bust up into the rooflet then join back into hangman to topout

FA: Todd Stewart, 3 Sep 2022

Insta classic, stand start on a good jug and deadpoint or dyno to the jug. Top out with a commiting mantle. Be sure to have an exit plan.

FA: Stephen, Sep 2020

A long traverse potentially circumnavigating the entire boulder. Two cruxes - a clutch throw from a small incut and an off-balance reach-through from the same hold.

A classy corner highball Note: the pointless drilled hole was not done by First ascenionist

FA: Ryan Macpherson & Daniel Flanagan

looks to go, but needs a few more mat and spotters, open project to anyone that wants to see this area re-developed

a little further down the hill there's a nice looking boulder with a few crack lines
