Ascensões em Point Perpendicular como Hang dog

Crack was unfortunately very sandy from runoff after the rains. Took a mega whip after double dry firing out of some jams . Then went from where you leave the corner to the top clean. Awesome route!

Team ascent, pure siege and pure pump!

Absolutely stinker! Pumped out on the top pockets. Brilliant stuff!

popped off around the top. save a number 2 for the last bit. very sustained got a bit offwidthy.

Cruised the first half, struggled at the offwidth and wasted lots of energy as didn't want to give up. Eventually after thrutching my way up I had to rest on gear. Great hand jams on top, forearms were so pumped

Great climb but pumpy. Reachy pocket pulling. I could pull all the moves but didn’t have the stamina for the top section. I would come back for the send.

Ran out of steam at the top amd had to rest a couple of time, the hand jams were a bit finicky

Sat on the rope below the final move, then immediately realised a lay back works and is pretty easy.

Couple of goes, got all the moves just have to manage the pump enough to get to the top! Dave got the send as the sun was setting!

Not clean. Great to have something new to do (all on gear) when you've done everything else here, but it is really contrived (and kinda hard to decide what exactly is "off route").

Regardless, it has some rad, powerful moves. With my busted wrist, there was a single move I couldn't do today, but otherwise it seemed "achievable"... maybe.

Sat on the rope once above the crux after making a couple of errors which stacked up.

Was a battle. Got spooked early on with a hardish move. Really not that bad. Just commit to going out left next time!

Also there is a double knee-bar rest on this climb, which is super cool for a pure trad route haha.

Arjan also found a single knee-bar further down, remember to look for that next time.

Finger crux is hard! It looks like there was a fin that snapped off (probably some blown pro), so I wonder how much harder it is now?

Hard but on incredible rock. Lowered down to give it a shot. Quite a few rests, but all the moves went.

Dripping with sweat and slid out of the damn paddle jams. How many times can i drop this damn climb

Amazing position, but inconsistent difficulty. Most of the route is about grade 18, with an insecure balancy top section. Dropped that twice

Fell at the top after miss reading the pockets. So sick!

Did so well with managing the sustained first 28m only to fall at the crux. Finger pockets/slopers - what a way to finish

Cant remember the last time I thrutched this much!

Some of the highlights: Got all the cams I needed stuck between myself and the crack, desperately downclimbed, moved gear, then realised my knee was stuck, started to panic as I didnt bring my rusty victorinox knife to help relieve me of my knee but then I realised it was actually quite a comfy way to rest.

Slightly more rested I managed to wiggle my knee free, did the rest of the offwidth again. Made it to the handjams 3m from the top, but tired me could not get the jams to work resulting in me yelling take after which I nearly puked. After some rest and placing 5 nuts "just in case" I made it to the top where I finally met the legendary Nikhilesh Sharma hence the somewhat longer than usual tick.

12/10 cant wait to go again.

Bonus: 1 cam proved hard to retrieve, so I got to climb the offwidth & handcrack again as a topropesolo, amazing how much easier it is if you can just ignore placing gear and instead climb the face. Then got my microtraxion stuck in the crack(yes while it was belaying me) which added even more excitement to my day....

Felt like I had no endurance today, I'm gonna blame it on covid. Very tough, insecure jams in the finale, which in classic perp fashion was quite balls to the wall. Managed all the moves at the top in the ABTR-style (Always be top roping).

Got a bit pumped and greased off a slopey hold. Probably would have dropped it at the top anyway. Mega pockets at the top, though one section felt quite reachy, slopey and pumpy. Used a 0.4 between bolts halfway, but you could also not place anything if you're brave. Keen to have another go at this at some stage.

I wish i knew why this is so hard for me. The jams are really tipped out and flaring at the crux. Maybe easier with smaller hands? Also hurt a ton with no gloves or tape

Didn't find the crux move first go, and couldn't hack it second go. Next time!
