The Reußenstein is a cliff located at the end of the Neidlinger valley. On top of the main cliff there is an old castle ruin which gives the place its name. On weekends this is a very popular place for barbecues and the finish of beautiful hikes in the area.
The crag consists of three main sectors. The 'Hauptfels' below the ruin, the 'Mittelfels' and its neighbour 'Nadel' and the 'Südostfels'.

The hiking trail which gives access to the west and valley-side of the sector Hauptfels is closed due to possible rockfall. Effectively making that Sector non reachable. Descending the gully between the Hauptfels and Mittelfels to reach the Hauptfels is not permitted.
The east side of Hauptfels can be reached by a path starting at the top of the north-west side of the Mittelfels

Leave your car on the big parking lot at the K1430. From there follow the signs in direction West to the crag (500m). (
