Ok, back after a finger injury and 6 weeks’ rest. Found the hidden hold, doable crux now. Don’t have much endurance and rests for this route, so at this stage of projecting I cannot imagine the send 😆 Cool route though! At least one more session needed.

Sneaky crux at the top which we couldn’t figure out and had to bail on last bolt before the chains. Drew told us afterwards about a hidden hold so I guess we’ll have to go back for it 😝

The campus start, burl fest, schlauk and lack of feet made me work really hard for this route. So much screaming to clip the second draw and then screamed some more because my forearms were in so much pain already 😅 I can’t believe how much I enjoyed the process AND glad it’s over now. Need alert belayer to work together with climber (NB!)

First go felt physically impossible for me, but I had a golden belayer and crag crew support. Worked out all the moves eventually and went for the send to my surprise. Didn’t stick the crux and was too tired during 3d attempt. Quite sustained with very little rest, hard and fun - I’d give it another star. And will come back for it. Hard move from first draw but I fell numerous times and it’s fine, just have alert belayer. Well bolted.

Totally my jazzz. Thought it would go down first session, came back in the sun, struggled, much harder to finish it up than it felt the first session with good afternoon connies. Definitely easier in the shade. Compressing most of the way up, except for the last grip in the roof that I can't reach, this isn't 8A in Rocklands..... I had to swallow my ego before I could grade it properly Athletic

Dang it is tough to rate this route! Per meter and per move you have a hell of a lot of fun and it's one of the best routes out there. It's just not long enough to be called "epic". There is a crux that has all the hallmarks of a classic crux - a section that catches your eye from the ground, one that draws the climber inevitably into it, a section with distinct holds that requires unlocking exactly the right sequence, just to make it through by the skin of your teeth! So I am quite torn on the rating of this one! Either way super stoked on my send and it's probably in my top 20 routes atm. Will have a video to add at some point. One downside for me is that the start is a bit confusing, there are 3 ways to do it. Beta warning : If you deadpoint/hop to the first jug you can skip a hard move and I think the route then becomes 21. If you start super low (matched on the big edge) the first move is much harder. Between these there is the intermediate option to start with hand jam for the left hand, which I did. Averaging across these I feel that 22 is the correct grade although it's on the softer side, again, especially if you hack the start, which is easier if tall. The grade must also be taken into consideration with the fact that the rest of the crag is a little sandbagged by today's standards. Video: https://youtu.be/i1MrvsXEyL8
