When abseiling down from the top of Mooikrans avoid linking pitches, we have attempted to link pitches by abseiling right down to the cave but the ropes got stuck on both attempts. Go down to the base of the last pitches chains before attempting abseiling to the cave and pulling the rope through.
The last two pitches through the roof of the cave up to the top of Mooikrans we agreed seemed more closer to 21 in grading some moves a bit harder than the 21 crux on the third pitch.
There is a bolt loose on the base of the third pitch stance.
We were climbing in a party of three, give yourself about 5 hours to do the climb give or take, a party of two will be faster if 21 is in your comfort zone. Do not attempt the last two pitches out of the cave if 21 is not in your comfort zone.
With the wind howling up the face that made for a pretty exciting climb. Quickdraws blowing up off the harness and even my partners eddy at one point. Luckily mellowed a bit for the abseil. Great Spot!!
Multipitch Sport: Birthday climb in Harrismith. Took Emma on this fun day out. Interestingtraverse. Dropped phone down the cliff, amazingly it bounced and landed on a ledge next to her. Even more amazingly it still worked! Happy not to loose those photos. Emma was destroyed after this!
