Nature has created a one-of-a-kind climbing site and pumped forearms are guaranteed. The rock in Felsenholz is made of holey Nagelfluhgestein (conglomerate) from the ice age. From the mountaintop you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Alpstein and the Churfirsten.
At the foot of the cliff there is a fire place. For children a paradise, climb, barbecue and caves to explore. Further caves can be found if following the trail to the west (left).

There is small potential for new routes. Before the drilling machine is used, this should be discussed with the locals.
It has been climbing since the 1970s. Partially some rusty ring hooks still exist but they are not above all doubts! In the 80s the ascent style was top rope and the routes were named. Some of the route names have been written on the rock and are still readable. In the 90s the routes were equipped with bolts: plastic dowels with ring screws at considerable distances. Starting from 2000 came some new routes and additional bolts were added.
