Ascensões em Boise

One of the most unnecessary falls I've had in my second try. In the first attempt, it took me some time to figure out the technical sequence on the last few meters below the anchor and I decided to not really try the final committing move after not finding a way around it since we were short on time. In the second attempt, I climbed everything and successfully did the committing move to the jug above the anchor at which point the route is basically over - but I hadn't done the move before and wasn't prepared for where to put my feet. I ran out of power before finding good feet and fell.

Nice route. The technical traverse after the 5th bolt is great. I need to use a bad crimp with left and go to a side crimp with right (I take it as a Gaston crimp). Then I need to lean far far left to get the black jug on the left. Then I need to bump up with right to the next chalked sloper and go higher with left to intermediate. Then step on the black jug (or a bit below) with right foot. Cross into next chalked hold on the dihedral. Right hand into finger hole. The dynamic move at the anchor I could not do so far. Need to try again if I am ever there again.

First moves off the ground are kind of scary, but just in time you find the hidden hold on top of the ledge. The dihedral section really flows but the the first bolt is quite high up. The final section to the tp is past vertical and very challenging. I already want to come back with a belayer and do this one again. This is one of the most interesting climbs I have done at the cliffs.

Challenging route. The crux is leaving the off-width to pull past the roof. Scramble off at the anchors is possible.

Difficult finish pulling past a stout bulge on disappearing feet.

Difficult roof moves, very stiff for the grades.

Great climb. Crux is the last section to the anchors. Feet options are very sparse to get to the anchors.

What a great route this is. The final moves to the anchors are the crux. Most of the climb is fun 5.9.

My best burn yet on this tricky route.

I tried to stay on top of the bolt line today. I climbed mostly on the arête between this climb and loaded gun to the right. I ended up with the same finish for loaded gun instead of the usual mantel finish just left of the loaded gun off-width. Both ways of finishing are similar in difficulty.

Fantastic climb. Beautiful movement pulling through the crux roof to reach the anchors.

Another pleasant romp on a fantastic route. After climbing this one twice I have concluded that this is absolutely my favorite 5.10 at the black cliffs. The movement through the crux is so great and so enjoyable.

Nice to finally get to lead this one. Takes gear well, mostly small cams and nuts up to one .75 cam for the roof.

Hard start. Decent granite for this area.

Would be classic if it were longer.

Great crack climbing to the big ledge. I had a hard time getting up the finger crack to the anchors because my fingerswere too big.

I ran into difficulty mid climb on a roped solo attempt and had to retreat. Interesting climb.

Really fun route, especially if you enjoy a true off-width as much as I do. I cant wait to do this route again. Very interesting climb.
