The current guidebook does not make the approach options clear. They are:

1. Best/safest: After the bridge, continue walking all the way up the road until the road switchbacks around to the right. You'll have a sense this is at the very far L end of Erboristeria. At this point there is a large cairn and a large step up to a footpath. Follow this path back, contouring along to reach the far L end of Erboristeria Alta at the base of Serpillo.

2. Quicker but a bit sketchy: After the bridge, follow the road uphill only partway until you see a faint path going directly uphill toward the cliff. Follow this until you encounter a 25m section of fixed ropes up steep choss. Confident scramblers only. Fixed metal rungs are needed here.

3. If you were already climbing at Bassa (the right-side) it's possible to traverse fixed ropes leftwards up to Alta.
