The Tukino area is strewn with small boulders, fortunately, a few are just big enough to climb! If you're passing through on State Highway 1, it's worth driving up for the view, a chance to stretch the legs, and even pull onto some rock.

Conditions can change rapidly as you are on the side of a mountain. Check the weather before you go, bring appropriate gear and plan ahead. Boulders will likely be covered in snow during winter months.
Approche
5-10 minutes
Boulders can be accessed off the Tukino Access Road. There is a gate blocking the road half way up where the Round the Mountain Track crosses over the road. There is a parking lot here. You will need a car with 4 wheel drive and good ground clearance to get up the road.
