Repeat attempt (for training) not clean today. Climbed via the Sentinel start. The wheels fell off here, and I had a rest at the crux. Too much climbing for 2 days!
Repeat attempt (for training), not clean. Climbed clean into the main crux, fell off, and came down. Happy just to link through that first crux without remembering the beta at all... it's intense.
Repeat. Aiding the crux move makes this the standard warmup for this part of the world. As much as the rest of this route just keeps getting better to me, the crux just keeps getting more unpleasant.
1st go of the day after dogging it last year. The body remembered everything except the top slab! A lot of resting on small holds, going up then back down until the sequence worked. Luckily held on to the clip the chains of an absolute classic! Feeling light, a great climbing day
Awesome! Tried last year and came back to do it first go of the day, a magic feeling of lightness. The body remembered the movement better than the brain. Fantastic route at a sick crag!!
Surely this is up there alongside other such classics as the Sweet Dreams Wire Traverse or the Bell Super Crag Descent Rungs as one of the best routes in the Bluies!!
what a pumper! greatfun! i enjoyed the moves on the way of all flesh a little more but this is definitiely a classic! as for harder....not sure. 1st shot after putting up draws and having a suss
Went up it once, the work out the moves. Still manage to do it clean throughout the roof, stopping at the rock over.
On the first RP, I fell on the last hard move on the headwall after a good fight. Since I failed, I took some time to refine my feet beta on the headwall and sent 2nd RP.
Great route, very varied. The flake at the bottom is a bit sharp...Pretty please with this one
