Psyched to climb up to the thin crack Crux first go. Went clean on TR second shot. Absolutely stellar climbing!

Got super close on the Crux second go today, no dice though. The upper climb goes much easier. Stoked

Someone took the locker from the hanger. It was useful for lowering off so you could do nice quick back to back sends as a warmup 👍

Nice. I did a direct finish where I went straight up afte the only pro on the climb was clipped. This was better than the original.o

Hey Damian I know you’re probably going to read this so I am using this public to platform to state my opinion. Brian has a proofread copy of your new guidebook and I read it today. overall really cool and I’ll definitely be picking up a copy. But in the central slabs, on extreme youth you said something along the lines of “this climb is nowhere near as extreme as it youth to be”. This is disgusting, please don’t print this as it is one of the worst puns I have seen in a very long time.

If you were at Orroral Ridge or in the valley on this day, and heard someone getting murdered in the bush, it was actually me grating my body up this off-width crack. Bit of an awkward start, with a doable beginning section that I managed to climb clean. Getting through the overhang/squeeze section is what made me lose my shit. Once I fought my way through that after nearly giving up, the top-out was surprisingly pleasant.

This climb is well-protected, which is the only way I got through it. There are double bolts and a chain at the top with a comfortable ledge/bench seat for belaying. Great views of the valley at the top.

Fabulous route, less intimidating than it looks, looking forward to leading it next time.

Lovely, fun climb with some dizzying exposure at the top-out! Slab start is mossy, unprotected, and run-out, but it's extremely low angle and low risk. The loose-looking block at the top of the crack is solid.

Couple of laps on TR, 1 sit. Close. There's now double ring bolts at the top, makes lowering off a dream.

One of my more dismal climbing displays in a while. Got passed the crux clean then slipped on the non existent foot I was on, I proceeded to mope. Ps thunder bluff is kinda sick and I should really go there at some point! Can’t comment on grade as I am tall and the crux is fairly easy for me

Im back and this things still hard but good progress, got the crux clean and punted after. Will be back tmrw for a hopefull toprope send. Also considering how quick I got that 26 at arapiles I reckon this thing is more than 1 grade harder

Heaps of fun exploring the caves and chimneys on this route. Would recommend connecting with pitch 3 of split the difference to make this a consistent 3 star experience. Don’t be intimidated by what this route looks like from the outside. It starts deep within the chimney with a perfect crack on the face.

Quite a serious first move for a beginner, particularly as it would pull the belayer off the top of the block and over the drop. Plenty of lichen above and I finger-tightened the loose first nut, but it needs attention from a spanner. Didn't know about the lack of anchor so belayed lying in a groove on the far side of the boulder!

A few very small and sharp fingertips just above the first bolt. Will need to be more in shape and in the zone.

All about P3. P1 is a one-move wonder, which I protected with two microcams. P2 was a bit thrutchy with my child-bearing hips. I'd suggest tacking P3 onto one of the routes further right to make the best of it. Sweet crag for exploring the depths.

Enjoyable but probably 1 star at best. First move tricky - take a big cam to protect. Combined P3 and P4, which comes to only 20 meters total. Flakes on P3 are ok but a bit crumbly. Nice big boulder to sling for the final belay and instead of heading through the gap, head left around the outside and you can walk off. Rough pitch grade estimates would be 13 for first two, 9 for the rest.
