Ascents of Höllenfahrt as Hang dog as sport by Alexei Drummond

Felt much stronger second attempt, now properly warm. High point! Somehow I didn't stick the sinker. Can't really fall off any higher. Bittersweet as I had to clean off the gear due to prior commitments. I still felt really good and I think I had a good chance to send it if I had another 1-2 goes. Dammit. Never spent so much time on a route without sending.

Last session on this route. First go I was shaky and not warmed up properly. Early start as needed to fit this in the morning so we could go elsewhere in the afternoon. Only gave myself time for two tries. Hung at 7 and 8.

Fourth burn of the day. One hang at bolt 8. High point! I will give myself one more session

Third burn of the day. One hang at bolt 6. First one hang, and also low point, climbing all the way through the entire (3 bolt) crux!

Second burn of the day. Hung at bolt 7 and twice at 8.

First burn of the day. Hung at bolt 6 and bolt 8.

No high point today but heaps of micro-beta. Got a great direct sequence from 5th to 6th using right gaston into left gaston to clip 6th. Then out to right crimper, and up to awkward left hold. Step up before going to right thumb catch, pocket combo. Also heaps of new beta for the final crux sequence from the 8th clip to the 9th clip. Really psyched to get on this again when I am fresh.

Realised that a lot of my feet were too high in the top crux section, which is pushing me off the wall.

Hung at bolts 6, 7 and 8. Terrible conditions. Got to be here early morning to have a chance.

First go. Did all the moves with a few hangs but sequence from 8th to 9th is on very bad holds and very hard in isolation for me.

Climbed clean to 6th and hung. Then to 8th and hung. Went to top and cleaned it off because too hot now. When I came down a local climber gave me awesome beta for going from 8th to 9th so I am confident if I come early in the morning with skin I should have a good chance of sending it.
