Ascents of Prometheus I

Started in Head in the Tress and we may have wondered too far left but we ended up on the route at the end.

Nice little crux move.

Second ascent with Brent.

not a bad outing

First "climb" since the shoulder injury. Climbing is pretty ordinary because it is a lot of bush bashing through ledges interspaced with sections of easy but very poorly protected climbing. But it is still a really fun choose your own adventure style climb. We knew where it started and where it ended, the rest we worked out by climbing upwards!

Climbed with Dean Luton and Russell Denny. Nice day out. Felt exposed traversing across to Cave 3 and I was being belayed. Can't figure! Took turns at leading.

Climb 13 of 50. Reminds me of the type of climbing I was doing 25 years ago. Glad I got to do it finally. We climbed it in 3 pitches, so not actually sure where one pitch ended and another began, so a bit tricky to log all the pitches correctly. Not terribly important though. Fun times!

I was certainly off route at points, but I more or less followed the line. A few classically scary Tibro moments in there but overall pretty chill.

Im pretty sure I didnt follow the correct route, things got a bit dodgy in places, but I managed to end up in the right spot.

Was going to solo either this or Orpheus, but forgot my copy of the guide, I've never been able to find the so-called marks on the rock, so started up what I could assume was 1 or the other - turned out to be Prometheus.

Quite nice, though not as airy or clean as Caves Route.

Don't think we were really on the correct route for this climb, had to retreat. Suspect we were too far to the right of this climb. Had John & Mel with us for their first Trad intro.
