Heaton Road is closed from the north at the base of the hill. The barricades have been pushed aside by 4 WD enthusiasts, but it is advised you park carefully at the end of the bitumen and walk the 15 minutes up hill. There is intention to repair the road. Mt Faulk Rd is also closed, so any approach through the Watagans NP would have to be via Martinsville.
