Ascents in Blackheath Area by David Barrie having sport-cpr or ascent-date

I can echo a lot of Jayden's sentiments on this one. Really enjoyed sieging this with Matt and Jayden too, it made a big difference to the psych and experience.

I tried 3 different betas for the crux -

1. the standard drive by

2. left hip to the wall, left hand bump to jug, right heel hook on the crimp next to the right hand, then cross over match on the jug

3. using the slightly higher wide left foot, get a knee scum under the rooflet and bump left hand to the jug

I think they're all about as difficult as each other off rope, but the knee scum turns the crux from an arms heavy move to more of a technical move to keep the toe and knee set, which to me was the more doable option on link.

A beta spray from Luke and a well timed breeze did the trick

Great climbing! Deserves more attention.

Thought we were doing Unfork Ita by starting up the left line of bolts, but ended up going back into Nikita straight off the ledge which I think is too early for the intended linkup. So while this ascent isn't Nikita proper, I feel it's close enough.

Hard move off the ledge but very cool! Great line.

Worthwhile

A few years since my first redpoint of this. It gets my vote for best 25 in the mountains.

Just held this one together! A fantastic climb. I used a kneepad for the rest after the traverse.

Very cool climbing. It felt quite adventure-y but I think the grade is fair when you have beta that works for you.

Awkward start but kind of fun to fight through. The rest is quality climbing.

Nourishment for the gym thug inside all of us.

Finally. I'll never know what to make of the grade of this one.
